I expect so from an Islamic point of view, but if you want to find out about Civil Law then you need to go to an authority - unless there is one on this board.

But you have intrigued me/is = why do you ask? I know of many people here who could be branded as witches because of the way they behave, and could perhaps even be branded as black hearted, and there are plenty of people who could be branded white witches because of the good they do.

So, are you looking to have a curse put on someone, or do you want to help someone or is this a personal issue as you do not want to do anything against the law?????????????????/

Yes not nice, but it says a lot about the people who practice it. Makes them kinda selfish and uncaring of others. I think it is misusing spiritual forces for wrong reasons. But if you don't believe in it, it won't harm you - a bit like voodoo. It works only when people believe it will. But having said that there ARE strong forces in our lives which can be used for good or ill, so I guess it doens't hurt to get out the White witchcraft book, or the Bible or the Koran or any other spiritual writings which can be used to turn the black into white.



Just hope no one puts a curse on me. I have enough problems!

Briefly there is an issue which we will not comply with their demands so hence this is the outcome.As I said they don't frighten me but they have frightened my young grandaughter who lives with us. thanks Swyflot. Ihave been doing a bit of investigating via various sources. Not found out legal ones, but have found out the history here - and in the past they have been burnt at the stake! So maggymay's neighbour should watch out - or read this and stop persisting in evil doing. this climate is hot enough without being shoved in a pile of burning wood, isn't it?

And I would expect the Koran to brand it as illegal for it holds the same tenets as the torah and the Bible - scorcery is condemned and punishable. Whether that is stil l on the law books remains to be seen.

Anyway, I shall be writing some thoughtsd about it in The Star, and maybe the neighbour will read that!

I sometimes think that someone has put a curse on me and I did think of ways of removing it. I have never done such thing before and never believed it. Is it wrong to remove evil powers around you? ? doing spells on others are totally out of order and selfishness. It is difficult to judge without the facts , and since this is a secular state I dont know see how witchcraft can be a crime provided it does not involve actual direct physical harm.. which sometimes it does. However it sounds as if someone is trying to make Maggiemay do something she is legally entitled not to do, or not to do something she is legally entitled to do, by threatening behaviour then it sounds like menaces which can be a crime. Talk to a solicitor or the police.



Even if M has done something to upset these people, two wrongs dont make a right , and it sounds as if her neighbours behaviour is another example of Brits behaving badly which is ruining this country for those of us who like and respect it.

I would suggest you re-inforce to your grandaughter that IF you believe something will happen, oftentimes, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, as the mind is the strongest organ in the body, so if you tell yourself something IS going to happen, subconsciously, you can aid it happening. If it happens, you say "knew it, witchcraft does exist" if it doesn't "knew witchcraft was rubbish". Don't know how old she is, but if she sees you taking it seriously, her sponge-like mind will adopt her role model (you) mindset - so in front of her, tell her to ignore it, tell her it is a form of bullying and they will win IF she believes they are going to do her harm; they will lose, if she treats it with the contempt it deserves and SHOULD she hurt her ankle, or fail an exam, or some negative thing happen in her life - it is NOT witchcraft, just life per se...

Thank you for your kind words, my grandaughter is13 and she knows I treat it as rubbish.I would like to thank everyone for their concern and kind advice.These people are evil, nasty and probably unbalanced. there is one thing in the equation that has not been discussed here. What if the 'witch' in question denies she is a witch! What if she thinks it is all a big misunderstanding? How do you prove she is guilty of witchc raft of the black kind?

I have photographs of items used whilst conducting the spell which were left on the patio for most of the day photographs show a mirror which I understand is used to project the spell a table covered with a black cloth a candle a large knife, 3 black discs a wand and a dust substance that was blown at us whilst telling us to breath it in these people are members of the forum and by them not coming on here to defend themselves I think it speaks for itself.

Thanks Maggy May.and Revnti I took a look at that. fascinating. of course there are those who would say it is a 'resisting' and works psychologically. Will maggy may try this if she feels this is a mirror spell. And let's see what these people may say.

So who of you reading this feels this is witchcraft? And how many agree with Revnti as to how to reverse it, and how many of you thinkj otherwise. there certainly have been some interesting postings here, and only today someone was talking to me about it.

It all sounds terrible. But you first post was asking if it was illegal here...Not sure if they have any kind of law here except a law unto themselves that changes from day to day ! Yes, Maggy May witchc raft is illegal, or rather sorcery is, but of course you have to prove it, . I do hope this situation gets resolved, because the one thing I fear is that both sides could end up spending a lot of money from which lawyers and government would gain, but both sides of the misunderstanding would lose - even if it is only money (which matters to me, cos I don't have a lot!

I have a black tablecloth, looks very nice with white china, i too have candles on my table at times. I sometimes do my makeup sitting at my table therefore i often have a mirror on it and as for the dust, goodness do you expect us to believe you were asked to breathe it in? Oh come on.



Obviously YOU have not been a very good neighbour and enjoy stirring things up and causing utter misery to one person. YOU do not explain the full true facts so how on earth is everyone forming an opinion on total lack of information

Your second para assumes all the people on this forum are being judge and jury and yet your last para does exactly the same towards us, do I now take it you have now joined the ranks of judge and jury? To give one further example of how things can be misunderstood, your third para says that you sometimes do your make up sitting at a mirror on a table, your profile says you are a MAN. This thread had run it's course and died down, we were hoping a solution could have been reached and move on. I put it to you, who now has stirred up a hornets nest?

guys I just HAVE to pop in a note here and defend Maggie May and the person who was thought to be practising witchracft. In my opinion (for what it is worth - and no rude comments please) this has all come out of a misunderstanding over boundaries, caused by neither person involved, but by 'the system#. to resolve this is causing a lot of heartache, and I would not want to be either person. what was interpreted as witchcraft by Maggymay, could easily have been done so, but it was in actual fact a cleaning session.

Maggie's initial question was a legitimate one, and I think it has been answered, but in this instance it could be that she may not have to go to the authorities over sorcery. On the other hand it would be wonderful if sorcery could solve this problem that is causing so much heartache among two families who were friends.(tongue in cheek!)

The one that I refer to is that of a person who finds themselves between two opposing parties in order to create a balance, at the same time unable to side in favour with either party. To all those reading this and picking up on the fact that the poster is a man. It is actually my husband who has joined this forum but i wrote in his name. He definitely does NOT wear make-up!



I think this whole thread is a witch hunt. Yes there is a problem but to accuse someone of being a witch because of a few items on a table is a tad thoughtless and tasteless.



To name call is childish, to make someones life a misery for just stepping out of their own front/back doors is disgraceful.

You also say you will be taking things further, that again implies a virtual accusation does it not?



I would urge extreme caution because regardless of where you live there is always a charge of defamation that could be levied against you yourself. You have put into print for all to see and granted you have not named names it does not take too much detective work to guess because you have already mentioned neighbours.



I do not know where you live exactly but quite honestly i am so pleased you are no neighbour of mine. I love my neighbours and hopefully they feel the same about us. You? well i leave it there...............
