This beautiful dog turned up at our shop on Tuesday, he was so incredibly thin we just had to give him some food & have continued to do so. We cannot home him as we already have two biggish dogs & two cats. He is very gentle & affectionate.

Apparently he was released by KAR on Sunday after being neutered & wormed.

Hi

The dog is quite big looks like he has some Great Dane in him & although he is very gentle would not think he is suitable for re-homing with a toddler - he might accidentally knock him over! (Maybe you as well Sarah!)

Am hoping to get the photos uploaded tomorrow.

Thanks

Hi ladylittle, Tom here Sarah (sunderland) think we have the ideal dog for you he,s corgi size, light brown and a lovely temprement, he,s nearly a year old had him since a pup, totally house trained, love,s kids and wouldnt hurt a fly, but a great guard dog as well, his name is Mackem (as you would expect).

Having to go back to blighty quite alot, so not fair on the dog, give me a ring if you want to see him, will bring him up, 0533 8462999 Tom

Ozankoys, this is KAR'S new policy because they have no room at the inn. The animals were coping on their own so KAR neuter, worm and de-flea/tick them prior to release back into the community. It is very sad but the centre is grossly over-crowded and the closer you confine animals the more likely you are to have diseases and epidemics, liken it to concentration camps, prisons and refugee camps if you like. One gets colic and they all do. Hope someone is able to help you as we can't due to renting and permission for our well behaved cat only. Also wish people would NOT be so flippant regarding SERIOUS posts. Have some respect and grow up.

Hi Mitsi

I was not criticising KAR they do a magnificent job but their resources are not infinite. If you could have seen the pitiful sight of all the very sick/mangy/starving cats & kittens in the harbour many years ago you can really appreciate what KAR have done for the animal population here.

Can anyone upload the photos for me please?

I am willing to feed this dog but cannot give him a permanent home which he truly deserves he is a real sweetheart.

Thanks

Conni

Hi Sukey, dont know if you have a dog yet, but we have to get rid of our lovely little dog, because of commitments in england, he,s just gone one year old, about the size of a corgi, lovely temprement, very obedient, house trained, fully inoculated, spends most of his day in the garden, and is no bother at all, and a tremendous watchdog, if your still interested please get in touch, 05338462999, regards Tom
