I did it a couple of days ago: I bought an iPhone 4 from Türkcell in Girne (at once updated from iOS 4.3.3 to iOS 4.3.5). Excellent, friendly service! Although I'm a seasoned Apple Macintosh user a whole new world has opened to me! Question: if you use an iPhone which apps from Apple's App Store couldn't you do without (anymore)? Can you recommend one or more apps about or for special use in TRNC/RoC? I made a category folder "News" and downloaded (free) apps for CNN and BBC - any other good news apps?

Thanks carollyne! Skype mobile app was the first one I installed. I'll check the two other apps you mention. My apps in category folder "Music and RTV": iTunes, Remote, YouTube and Radio 1 (BBC). And some Dutch apps, but I leave them out in this thread. Tips from anyone else..?!

Thanks, stevie-d! More apps to check... I saw on Apple's App store (via iTunes) that there are now 450,000 apps available! And the store is still growing by the day... My apps in the category folder "Photography": Camera+ (excellent app!), Pano, Hipstamatic and Afsnijden (Crop). Worth checking. Plus the built in apps by Apple, which are not all as good as the thirs party apps imo. iPhone 4 apps: Tips from anyone else..?!

Check out "Lookout" mobile security... you get a 2 week free trial then it costs £14 for 1 years protection..smartphones are just as vulnerable to hacking and viruses as computers and with the amount of info you can store in them these days it makes it even more vital that this info is ring fenced...IMO

Your post # 3 in this thread: ▶ [ http://www.cyprus44.com/forums/72915.asp ]. People could have asked you: "Why don't you just go to an official Apple reseller and buy one?" I really don't see what's wrong with this thread where info, hints and tips are exchanged. |

What a silly little child you are Sibas you sound like an eight year old, that could possibly be the reason why you are single and on your own. If you dont think this thread is good then dont read it. Its silly immature kids like you that try to spoil forums like these. So you have a Mac big deal who gives a XXXX what spec it is. D/C good thread its nice to actually see what other people use as the Appstore has over a mllion apps and it can be tiresome going through them all.
