Anyone any ideas how to stop local cats using our gravelled garden area as a toilet please? We already squirt water at them if we see them, but little blighters are sneaking in under cover of darkness and its most unpleasant. Any help much appreciated, thanks

Sorry that was flippant, on a serious note I don't know the answer other that getting slightly larger gravel, we did and they can't use it as a litter tray ... but I know that doesn't help you at the moment.

I have a dog so don't have that problem, but there is a big pile of sand up the road where I walk my dog and it is FULL of cat poo. It stinks! I think that maybe some little dogs have been there too, but my dog thinks it's the most fascinating thing she has ever seen or smelt!! Disgusting these animals of ours aren't they? !

Jax47.....fill up plastic bottles with water and lay them around the garden, might not look good but when the sun reflects on the water, don't know the technicality of it, but apparently due to the nature of the cats eyes it reflects and makes them go away. If that makes sense. I knew of someone that did this al the time and she said it worked. I tried it and someone took the bottles, I blamed the paperboy!!!!

grated or chopped fresh garlic/left over garlic peel and off cuts sprinkled over the gravel and around any plants - they hate the smell and its quite a cheap method.
