Lovely setting, lovely hosts and super food. Even home made bread!!!! and the best chips ever.

Ice cold draught beer, just the ticket on these hot days.

If you haven't been, then give it a try, believe me you won't be disappointed.

We are trying to give a good recommendation for people to try.

But as per usual on the forum these days you have to have a like msg3 who has to mock what is said. He obviously prefers frozen french fries!!!

No need for that language, it's just that from your thread title ,I assumed you had discovered a gastronomic gem..

alas I was mistaken, and rather disappointed..But I am glad you enjoyed your Chips ....

We and probably many others may well consider it a gastronomic gem (the chips were a bonus!!)

If you have not tried Club Ilgaz then maybe you should keep your sarcasm to yourself. If you have tried it then perhaps you should pass on your own comments and give us the pleasure of issuing scathing comments.

I totally concur with message 1. We had a lovely lunch there on Saturday and I would go as far as saying the setting is almost unbeatable and so peaceful with a lovely welcome breeze. After lunch we had a wander round the grounds and had a look at the bungalows. Will most certainly be going back for lunches and hopefully for an evening soon and then stay over in one the the beautifully appointed bungalows.

Would definately recommend and hope they succeed.

Best Chips ever ! That remark was made at the end of a sentence and was made as an aside ! What is the problem ? Does every poster have to be so careful with their thoughts and feelings for fear of the critics, that they will become constipated lest their original intentions are misinterpreted. Time to get a life people, we're all human after all !

Thank you EamonnMc your comment is spot on. Unfortunately this is now how the forum has become, too many posters just out to criticise.

OK Spider. Thats a date.

Loose Boot's I don't think you would be dissapointed. Our Sunday lunch there was the finest I have ever eaten out. Like I said at the time, a couple of minor niggles with service but the managment team are very good and the quality and portions of the food really made up for that.

You have been there so of course you will know how beautiful the place is.

The draught John Smith's is very good and I think also Murphys.

We look forward to going back and we wish them good luck with this venture.

Lee,

You seem to eat out a lot and to find the best places very easily. Have you another string to your bow ? Are you moonlighting as a restaurant critic ? Lol.

Hi EamonnMc. (don't forget your sword) Sir.

Quite strange really we don't eat out very often I do the cooking at home, and I have an Indian Restaurant. So yes I am interested in cooking.

So I am quite fussy really. Must be fresh veg, (except peas).

We help a few friends and when they come out here they like to take us for a meal. Silver Rocks very often.

May be we just drop lucky and go to the right places.

But I must add, we have so many excellent places to eat in TRNC. Also many places doing such good deals.

I have also been advised to try the Hot Rock, restaurant. Look forward to meeting you soon.

I think this forum when used in the correct way ie; Good places to eat, buying certain items etc, and general Info is wonderfully helpful and can be sometimes the only way good advice can be passed on to our compatriats. It does get hijacked by Mr or Mrs I'm gonna show everyone how clever I can with my devilishly wonderful sarcastic remarks, these sad individuals who spend far too much time complaining about everything under the sun. " Chill" log out, go for a walk by the Sea, I presume thats why you moved here in the first place, Right ? So in the words of Derek Batey be nice to each other !! I find a lot of stuff useful, keep it going nice peeps...

Well said mikey53. It's sometimes interesting to click on the profile of some of these "saddoes" that knock everything, and think it's clever. Of their last 10 or or posts, a large percentage are of the same genre.

Personally, I find that poor chips can spoil a meal. That steak house opposite Karakum Lemaar serve a great steak, the best I've had here, but the few sad frozen chips linger longer in the memory.
