North Cyprus Extend connection speed, what a laugh

Is anyone else having problems with their Extend connection? We pay for 1MB connection and even on the extend speed test are getting.....wait for it....34Kb on a good day! How pathetic is that! When we ring up and ask about it we get the usual answer, well we can see you have an excellent connection speed, it must be your cables, we'll send an engineer, still waiting for one to arrive after six months and regular calls and visits to the office.

If you are looking for an internet provider, don't bother with Extend!

Sorry, but we're having great speeds up here in Alsancak. There was about half an hour yesterday where it was a tad ropey but today fine. I've had My Private Network on and it wa fine.

I am in upper Dogankoy and regularly get more than my 1mb. I have no problem with Extend and the only outages that I have ever had have been as a result of power cuts.

Seems the problem is Catalkoy/Bellapais area then, have had really bad download speeds - not only me either. Good to know other people are getting good connection speeds, there's hope for me yet.

Yes I am in Catalkoy and we pay for a 1mb connection, yes a joke! Slow, slow, slow, computer all day every day.

Very frustrating.

Is Nethouse any better than extend in Catalkoy?

Seems you guys need to find a friend in a 'high' place in Bellapais and get them to offer to be a base stn for this new Multimax crew !
