I think all of us should go back to UK what was i thinking here, expensive food, dirty streets, slow internet yet expensive at the same time also unreliable from all internet providers, expensive electronic goods, cant find anything you want, have to show your passport just to eat macdonalds, expensive clothes, outrageous prices on cars, i havent event started on property.

Back in the UK - free medical care, cheap food, clean streets, amazine internet speed services, good customer service everywhere, everyone polite, dont need to show my passport for macdonalds or go to a mall and do shopping, reliable post service, cars that's at the right price, i can go on forever how much better our Country is i wish i never even came here, but i guess you realise it till i got here how bad TRNC is.

Just want to know what are other people's views about this?...........

Is this a wind up? Do you not read the newspaper or watch the news?

Riots all over the UK (for no reason mostly)

All time high unemployment - 2.49 million

Extremely high crime rate- Britain's violent crime record is worse than any other country in the European union

All time high illegal immigrant problem - estimated at 1 million people

High drug abuse - An estimated two million people in the UK have an addiction to some form of substance

and so on!

You are the fool. Enough I have better things to do than waste any more time on this stupid persons thread. The poisonous fume don't come as far as Esentepe - but do agree something should be done. As for silmpleton Sibas I have no intention of coming back to a cold miserable damp ..... uk.

I did not think there was a mc donalds or was that a figure of speech?

Another wet windy day not long till it's dark by six pm for seven month's,everyone walking around with long faces, not saying hello to one another.

Free health care for free loaders while hard workers pay high taxes.

The vunerable dont even feel safe in there own homes.

You can pay up to £4 a pint for a beer. You will not get much change from £60 eating out for 2.

Of course cyprus is a better way of life but only if you can afford it.

Is there a mc donalds ?

Surely a matter of personal opinion. For those of us who prefer it here to the UK, we all make the best of it and that is the whole crux of the matter. Some love it here, some don't and the ones that don't will leave. Some poeple are miserable where ever they are and perhaps that is the clue, not to be a complainer but make the most of what you are lucky enough to have!

Im just outside london,i think they all apply anywhere in the uk except perhaps the vunerable not feeling safe in there home.but even when i lived in cornwall for a year there was a rape and and a pensioner being mugged. For me it's mainly the weather and the darkness for so long, coming back to england from cyprus was one of the most depressing things i have ever experienced.

There are many people who can survive outside the security blanket of the UK, and many more peole who can't.

Most move overseas ill prepared, ill informed, ill financed without researching, and with unrealistic expectations.

Those with enough common sense to do a little research first stand a much higher chance of survivng as their expectations are in line wiht what is real.

Most of those that return will at least admit they made a mistake, but I doubt few understand the reasons.

But, at leaat they gave it a go, which is more than can be said for the vast majority of the UK that simply moan, lay down and play dead.

Sillybas I am sure your happy in your lovely mosside home. Iron bars on the window. Burnt out merc at the front. Dole money paid in on a Tuesday. Syringes on the stairwell. Lovely cuisine from iceland. Do you still eat the frozen frenchbread pizza. so classy. I guess most of your welfare goes on the 8 quid a packet fags.

Still the local hospital will look after you. Just remember say no to saline!

sibas, do you work? or have you gone home on the scrounge to GB?

Think you need to leave every one to enjoy what they like at where they live etc...

In fact last night was a classic of 'homes from hell' if you watched it... South has a problem as do GB with different issues.

So go shopping in Tesco and eat the plastic food, go to Mc Donalds and eat the crap, go to join the rest of the degenerates that now frequent our streets in GB...

Sounds more like you are the unhappy bunny by your posts....

I dont live in NC, but what you have said about NC is just plain you would not seek to help its down falls ...

whatever the reason is for you having to go back to the uk,it seems you're carrying a lot of anger. why come on here and argue,? like many people here im happy, infact my style of living has improved.if i want to return to the uk,then i will.i know both countries and i know what the pros and cons are in both.at the moment i feel you're neither in the uk or cyprus but living in dreamland.

Your right thats roomy, you can tell.

Even thoe this is a wind up,ill give you an example i loved cyprus when i was there but then my money started running out and my relationship was going down hill,so i started convicing my self it was crap there and sat at the bars moaning with the other ex pats who could not afford it,when i got back to england i was angry depressed,it took about a month for me to realise it was just my defence mechanism kicking in and infact i loved the place, and i have to return there.

Seems like u answered your own question there but lets repeat it again but with the opposites:

TRNC: no constant rules, no huge tax bills, dirt cheap rent, cheap house prices, friendly people, sunshine most of the year, sea, sand, casinos that offer free food & drink, swimming pools, easy going police, no rush hours, no boring 9-5pm jobs with no escape...

UK: rain, wind, snow 90% of the year, cold, council tax, income tax, tax fines, BB with cameras 24/7 watching ur every move, police fines, 10000s of speed cameras, expensive rent, expensive houses, high bank charges, miserable people, noise, rude people, traffic jams, traffic lights, M6 congestion, london riots, chavs, stereotyping...

and the list goes on. the truth is gettin a stamp for a mcdonalds is one small factor .. everywhere u live has good and bad.

Sibas,

Don't know who you are or why you are even on here, but if your an example of a UK citizen in this day and age then no wonder the country has gone to pot, Your manners and spelling are atrocious, insulting everyone you come across!

As to Healthcare here have you had any experience of this? because I have and do. The Health care here, yes, is private but believe me the Doctors are excellent and bang up to date.

We all have a choice in life and we choose to live here so just leave us all to enjoy it. You may not like it but it would be a weird world if we all liked the same things.
