Where to buy decent shoes, not fashion stillettos and the like but sturdy walking shoes etc;? Also anyone know if the NIKE shop is very expensive and how Do I find it? Just don't know where to go in Lefkosa for shopping and so far have been to Onder's.

nike shop can be seen as your coming to the roundabout in Gönyeli from Kyrenia. You cant miss it on the right of you as your going to Lefkosia .Great big white building with the Nike logo on it. For shoes İ wold also suggest Ayakkabbı Dunyası, they have a LARGE selection of reasonable upto date fashion shoes. The shop can be found near Metropol Supermarket on the parade of shops along there.(Nıcosa).

Hi Misti,

For Nike store, take main from Girne to Lefkosa,

at the 1st large roundabout, with the floating rocks, as you enter the outskirts of Lefkosa, you should be able to see the Nike building,

large white cube shaped.

I think if you go straight through, take 1st right, that will take you to it.

You could also try North Cyprus Yellow Pages @

Good Luck

Actually they sell good walking boots and shoes downstairs at Foxy Lady and they are 50% off... and no, I don't go in there to buy my stilettos...

Upstairs in Carrefour is also a good place to buy shoes.

There is nothing so expensive as a pair of cheap shoes.

I have not found any that are any good, none are made to last here and price is high for rubbish. Eco in the South is one you could try but choice is limited. Nike trainers are quite dear but fairly good.

I ONLY WISH iI hadn't worn such high heels in my 20's !!!!

The boss bought a pair of Ecco sandals in south that fell aprat after one wearing. The shop refused to take them back until we had to get real nasty and say this is EU and subject to EU laws etc. Got our money back.

Nothing wrong with Chinese things, most of Nike are probably made there.
