Just saw a lady run past our front gate

The we heard a puppy crying

The little puppy was placed behind our neighbours gates

I'd recognise the lady again

Why do people do this, its beyond me

If you would recognise her again and she was on foot, then might I suggest you have a little "look round" and take the puppy with you. You'd be surprised, her neighbours might "spill the beans" and let you know who the puppy belonged to. Please can you make sure the puppy is safe (not necessarily on your property, but secure from stray dogs who might attack her/him if he/she is on their territory) give him/her a little food and water - away from your property and then contact KAR office on Monday morning. Thanks.

You don't need to go looking for the lady who put the puppy in the garden it was me BUT I DIDN'T DUMP THE PUPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was walking my dogs - I have 3 rescued strays, and have looked after and found homes for 2 others - and the puppy kept following us. It was very podgy and clearly not a stray so I thought it must have escaped from somewhere and was bothered it would end up lost if it continued to follow me - so I put it over the wall into one of the gardens while I hurried away back to my dogs. I DID NOT RUN!!

The puppy was well fed and if it has escaped maybe the owner will come looking for it. I just did what I thought was best for it.

Hi Trooper

Ok if you didn't run you went past at a quick pace

And to put the puppy into our neighbours garden

was not a good thing because they are not there all the time

So the puppy would have been crying non stop

You say you have got 3 rescue dogs and have found homes for 2 others

Which is great

But if the puppy kept following you, then perhaps it would have

been better if you had phoned KAR and they could have picked it up

Happy ending for the puppy he's got a new home

Would have been easier to have phoned the KAR
