Thank you to everyone involved in making the "dream" come true for our daughter Mel and her new husband "Kristian" which was held at The Ada Beach Hotel. The venue and meal were paid for by the Hotel and the Wedding Planner, Teresa Cafa and Lay Preacher Marion Stuart (whose services were also free) did everything to make her day complete. Teresa even made and had delivered a cake for the blessing although she was unable to attend and also provided the flowers. The staff at The Chicago Hair Club fitted extensions to Mel's hair and also did manicure and make up. They also did her daughter's hair and nails free of charge. The whole staff of Chicago Hair Club have been amazing. Thank you Hassan & Felice. Sue Forster offered her services as photographer for free and the photos are amazing. Sunbeams Estate Agents provided a vintage car to carry Mel and daughter, Leanne to the venue and Al August Junior serenaded them. Thanks also Sardunya Beach for their kindness shown. Ann & Ralph

Lovely write up in Cyprus Mail! don;'t think I can beat that! We all hope that the experience will give Mel the strength she needs. Talking today to a couple of medics (who married here earlier in the year), they were asking if all the story was true, and they agreed that she has a tough road ahead. So, we all hope that the other day was a firm foundation and spring board for her to realise that love can strengthen.

Oh Marion - If only it wasn't true. The Addenbrooke's bit obviously isn't going to happen now. The chemotherapy, wig fitting and radiotherapy start again next Monday. Leanne and Teresa go back to England tonight. Apologies also to Tulips (representatives George, Les and Sue) who turned up for the occasion and presented her with some wooden tulips and a wedding card. Thank you to everyone. Ann & Ralph

Ann i am so pleased that they had a fantastic day and i can only endorse what marion says by hoping this gives her the strngth to get through the chemo. I think this whole experience has proved that when the chips are down people are only too happy to help. There are so many negative posts on here about people being ripped off but this has proved that is not always the case. Everyone who was involved in this gave their time and services free of charge and i know that in the coming weeks i will be getting calls asking for an update on her progress. People do care and can i just add my own thanks to Joan (flowerfairy) and also Zalihe from the garden centre Alsancak who stepped in at the last moment to decorate the gazebo and deliver the cake and flowers. Everyone who was involved done it because they cared and for that a massive THANKYOU from me. We all wish Mel and Kristian the best and know that the coming weeks and months are going to be a huge rollercoaster of highs and lows.

Yes everything looked amazing and the flowers were gorgeous. We are very sorry that we forgot to mention Cyprus Today and the Star for their coverage of the event, Brian Thomas and Marion Stuart and all the teams from both papers. Ann & Ralph xx
