Hi, Can anybody tell me what its like to eat at the Silver rocks at night please, it always seems nice in the day and we used to love the setting when Rita was there? Also can you advise where does a really nice mezze, we like Niazzis but are wondering where else does one in a nice setting? and finally is the St Tropez still nice to eat at, we used to go but then they moved the seating inside and the aircon put us off! Any pointers would be appreciated.

If you like to eat outside I would recomend the Almond Village in Alsancak , very good food good service and reasonably priced . If you need directions drive along the coast road towards Lapta as you go past the Starling super market on yor right look to your left and you will see a blue and white sign directing you , it is about 3/400 yards up that turning . It is worth booking as sometimes is very busy telephone no. is 0392 8212885 . Hope you enjoy bet you go back .

St Tropez is brilliant, in my opinion the best in north cyprus but the silver rocks come a close second.

I think Cenap in Alsancak has nice Cypriot mezze. Almond village does mainly British fare with some kebabs and Cypriot food. You can see their menu on-line. Other British restaurants are 14, Stonearch, Efendi, Midsummer House.

Would definitely recommend Silver Rocks for daytime and/or evening. We used to love it when it was Rita's too. As you'll know, the setting is wonderful and the food and service likewise. By the way, Rita still gets down there quite a lot, especially during the day and she doesn't change a bit

Thanks very much for the replies everyone, Cenap sounds interesting, we always try veranda,14 and Efendi as the settings are great and we used to like Rafters when a austrian chap ran it years ago. Any idea what the Kybele is like these days?

Definitely the Almond is the best.....for everything, and so was St Tropez..and Verandas. We have usually found most places serve really good food over there..
