Is anyone having problems connecting to BBC iPlayer with Nethouses VPN

Hi,

Just recently realised Nethouse has its own UK VPN, and it works fine with ITV, Channel 4 and the like, but will not run BBC iPlayer.

Now I know its a VPN problem as I still have my own UK VPN and BBC iPlayer works fine, can anyone help, as their whizz kids seem to have given up on me.

I have emailed them about VPN problem several times this week. We could get BBC with it for a few days and then not at all. We have never been able to watch ITC, Ch4 or 5 with Nethouse VPN but could with UK VPN. Now we cannot even connect to Nethouse VPN - they still have not responded to my last email sent to them yesterday.

We are using windows xp.

have the same problem running expat can get itv but not bbc

Expat shield is just a program that gives you a UK VPN, but pushes ads in your internet browser..if your local ISP uses a UK VPN, your shouldn't NEED Expat Shield..

hi yes i've been using expat for about a year with no problems but this last week or so i could connect to bbc iplayer and select a program but where the program would normally start i only get a blank screen all itv channels are fine. what internet providers give uk vpn as part of their package mine doesn't

Hi there



I had problems with the VPN last week and from reading posts realised that I don't need to use the Nethouse VPN anymore as you can get straight on to BBCiplayer and ITVplayer without it. I was trying to get on to BBC but it wouldn't work "page cannot be found" error but all you need to do is simply refresh the page and the programme comes up. Works everytime now.
