My husband and I are considering moving back out to the TRNC early next year, last time we moved out our 3 dogs had to stay in this awful quarantine place in Lefkosa, will they have to go through this again, as i had heard they let u do home quarantine now, i also have 2 cats and 2 guinea pigs can they be quaranteened at home too. Any updated advice on this i would truly appreciate thanks christine?

Normaly they do home quarantine now, if you have all the paperwork/injections in place, but go on to KAR website and they will have all the upto date information (I think).

Home quarantine should be no problem providing your pets are chiped have a pet passport have had all their shots and have the documents that the injection for rabies built up the necessary immunities this needs to be about 2 months in advance of arrival. Chances are if you arrive at night the pets will spend only the one night at the quarantine station. Doubt the guinea pigs will need anything except a Vets certificate that they are in good health. My dog has done this trip 6 times the last 4 with zero quarantine

Christine msg 1 - We have helped quite a few clients with their pets and so far none have had to do quarantine. That said the next ones could be unlucky and have to do one night in the Veterinary before doing home quarantine.

Ali msg 7 - Which country will you be importing from? The rules normally discussed here are from the UK.

If you need any assistance please email me at info@flightholiday.co.uk

Why bring pets here - there are plenty local ones to help!!

If msg 2 is correct - did you have 'pets' before

Moritzkatz,

you say you have done this 6 times?

Which country did you take your animals back to, was it UK?
