Cheap Phone Calls to the UK

Can anyone help please.



I have to make phone calls every day to the UK and it is costing a fortune via Turkcell.



Is there another method where I can pay a small fee monthly and pay nothing else for calls?

As you have a computer use skype, it only costs 1p to ring land lines in the uk or free to anyone else on skype.

If your on Skype, and have credit,

you can buy a "local number"

Use that and your only charged at local rate.

And if other end has free local call option,

they can call all the time FREE.

We've been using it for months.

Twinkletoes, you can download skype for free, then you can buy credit for callong mobiles and they do monthly payments for calling UK or anywhere else you choose. It's £2.24 per month and you can call landlines beginning with 01 or 02 in uk for free, unlimited calls any time day and night. You must place order each time you want extra credit, same when you want to pay monthly charge. Every order has a different no:( You cannot set this up as an automatic direct debit as we found out and caused problems ,took a month to sort). Print off each order from skype then set up with your bank every time.Look at all the options ok and choose what you want. Takes up to 14 days to get credit with bank transfer or buy with credit card. skype to skype calls are free.Good luck, we've saved a fortune.

my son pays a monthly suscription to a company and get all calls free.

i will ask him the name tomorrow. i'm sure its only a few dollars a month.

Skype gives an option to automatically top up your credit when i gets low so that you never need to worry about running out of credit.



When we were in NC recently we rang home several times (quite long calls) and sure enough it costs £0.012 per minute, I put £10 on and it lasted all 18 days and I still have £6.96 left (brilliant) I am leaving my mobile in UK next time though so no one can ring me on it and run up my bill (£96 for a few incoming calls) what a f***ing liberty.

I set up SKype when I got here three weeks ago and put credit on account

using my credit card. Made calls to Uk over first week, still got a credit balance over £8. Then all of a sudden Skype account blocked, says it something to do with credit card verification, sent requested details back and nothing happened since, over a week passed and no emails being replied to. Has this happened to anyone else?

I use skype around the world....skype to skype is free..so no charge..cannot get better value than that!

I had a problem with Skype,

but that was to do with the firewall, after an update.

If you can't phone Skype from your PC, try a friend who has Skype.

Sorry can't help any more :-(

I have had Skype for about 2 years now, but the quality of the calls most of the time is appalling. This is why I need to know about this voip thingy (technical expression!)

are you using viopstunt with a laptop or asdl we are using a 3g modem so how do we get arond the fact we have no phone number here
