Was in the South yesterday, petrol around 86 cents per litre. Diesel about 10 cents more - used to be the same, are they copying the UK ? When, when, when are they going to drop the price here ? Needless to say I fill up everytime I am over there.

I think here they are realling milking it for all its worth!! when you look at the price of crude oil when the prices worldwide were hiked up, it has fallen 40% plus since then and no change whatsoever here in the price at the pump apart from a token gesture of .05 per litre on petrol.

Too right David9 The actual price of oil is now down to $53 a barrell having dropped from $144 in June. That represents a drop of about 65% yet as you say this grasping Government used the high prices to double electricity and push up petrol, yet refuse to lower them now the prices have plummeted. No doubt it is to feather their own nests . American pump prices are now half what they were in July and even Britain has reduced them by about 15% since August. What the brainless b------- don't realise is that if they did lower petrol the shop prices would be reduced due to lower transport cost's and people would spend more thus maintaining their tax rip off's

hi all ...prioe of oil is an all time low of $53 barrel and we are still paying 92p for unleaded and 106p for deisel. This has to be the biggest rip off of the century.Every time the oil comes down in price they lower petrol prices by a fraction then put the reduction on the the price of diesel there fore increasing the price of diesel. what really annoys me is that it costs far less to make diesel than it does to make petrol and all you get out of the fuel companies is "supply and demand" If they keep that attitude up much longer ther wont be any "demand" cos there wont be any body able to afford it . to me diesel should be retailing around 48p and petrol at 55p If you look back before the crunch that was the price we were paying then, even OPEC dont want to cut production levels anymore to try and stabilise the price of crude, so its only the greedy fuel companies who are to blame for the current price levels...

1p was knocked off the price of diesel. But 2 weeks ago 2p was knocked off pertol but not diesel. The gap between petrol and diesel is steadily growing. It used to be 12p in may, now it's 16p. For those of us who made an investment in diesel run cars to cut costs and CO2 output there are now no savings over having the petrol equivalant car that does 36 miles to gallon than the diesel that does 50 miles to the gallon. Our only saving grace is that our equivalent CO2 output is still lower tha petrol.

Soothsayer.. A film made in 2007 and 2008 predicting global financial meltdown is hardly a big prediction given that it was already underway before then... it's just that those who wanted to move their money to a safe place before the major news got out did not tell anybody else... but that's what insiders do.. Now they'll be trying to sell you all sorts on "financial insight packages" hype up as top investment tips... another trick to separate you from your money... Last one out... turn off the lights!
