Good morning all.

I have been hearing it is possible to see a variety of TV stations through your personal computer via a lead to your TV.

Does anyone have any knowledge of this facility and any practical info.would be very helpful including details of any kit that would be needed to purchase.

thanks

Doug

Just watching UK TV on my TV but not through my computer , It can work through your PC but you may need a quick internet connexion and constant speed or it can get annoying when it freezes if your internet speed is not quick enough.

Hi Doug

It is possible via a UK VPN( virtual private network)

Two local ISPs - Multimax and Nethouse - offer a free service that should allow you access to UK services.

From your PC you can run an HDMI lead from the HDMI out out the PC to the HDMI of a flat screen TV

It is often better to download the prog and THEN view, as when streaming live - you might get buffering - a pause when the data doesn't get through quickly enough.

Doug agree with M but the Nethouse is usually not too bad on BBCi player either live or on playback ITV player is a pain in the UK sometimes as well but not too bad on playback .Nethouse VPN is not working at present don't know why just e-mailed them for an answer

All you need is a pc/laptop with HDMI connection and a TV with the same plus VPN or download from sites such as uknova the boxbz pirate bay etc

good luck also you are due to do a review on Patina

Try Multimax, opposite Kibet in Karakum. Recently had it installed in Ozankoy, and seems to work perfectly well without buffering. I subscribed to 2Mb but speedtest.net invariably shows I am getting around 6 so am very pleased thus far!

Multimax offers free tvMAX service which allows you to watch UK channels with zero configuration on your side. BBC. ITV and channel 4 is currently supported. All you do is to visit their site, and it works.

If you have a TV with a network connection, you can plug your TV directly to the internet and watch UK channels without even the need of a computer.

If you do not have a network connection on your TV, you need to connect TV to the computer, which is usually done via VGA or HDMI connections.

For more details, you can call our office 0392 444 6629, kyrenia branch 0548 870 0226, email info@multimaxcyprus.com or http://www.mmcyp.com
