I would like to share this poor evening...... We were advised that the a la carte, as well as the usual menu was available. Due to high winds, the usual eaterie was shut and we were down in the breakfast accomodation area, no problem with that. We choose one course as a party (the "main"), there was no meze to begin with (which I found surprising), that is by the by when confronted with the main course. Those who had ordered lamb found that the dish was burnt, inedible - "tastes like cardboard" - one comment - the chicken was covered with salt and seasoned to death, plus it was overcooked. The steaks also suffered the same fate; on the dish there was a salad which consisted of lettuce and not much else and in some cases soggy chips. The meal was to come with vegetables; these were frozen and boiled to death. The meals were replaced (reluctantly by the staff) the replacements were of the previous standard and not what was asked for. Also no manager on site to deal with it.

I'm sorry you were disappointed with the food and service at Green Holiday village. I'm also sorry there was no Manager on site for you to complain to. However, wouldn't it have been better to have gone back the next day (if possible) and explain your complaints, rather than come on to the Forum (your 3rd posting I see). This forum can make or break a restaurant if people are not careful and I would hate to see yet another one go down the tubes.

I think they go down the tubes without any help from this forum, many are poorly run, with unimaginative menus.. Mind you how do you make "CHIPS" interesting.I suppose you could re- name them "Pommes Frites" at least they sound more appetising.

A quick update - as someone remarked, one of the party did go back and eventually received 50% off the meal. So fair dues to the Green Holiday Village.
