Who passed the law saying that squatters (people who don't have enough money to buy their own house) shall have more rights to your house than you do (the owner) if it is left empty for a while

forget what is legal to us , you need a good cypriot powerful friend that will sort it for you.. it has to be done direct by local , but not by expat involvement..

It actually happens here in UK too. Police will not throw out squatters if they broke the window and enetered because they have no proof that it was the squatters who broke the window. Apparently it is ok if somebody else breaks the window and they just walked in.

a lot of northern cyprus laws are copied from british laws, i think its a very unfair law for anybody,its always the victim that suffers whatever the case and should be changed here and in the uk.
