With these flights the number of countries that have chosen the TRNC as a destination has risen to 15.

As it is the first time a chartered flight has arrived from Prague a special ceremony was held at Ercan airport.

The Minister for Public Works and Communications Ersan Saner, the Minister for Tourism, Environment and Culture Ünal Üstel and Prime Minister Irsen Küçük greeted the Czech tourists at Ercan airport.

All ministers noted how pleased they were to see foreign tourists in the TRNC and put forward their visions for tourism.
