We have our son visiting us from Australia and we spent a couple of hours at Horseshoe Bay last week, both him and his partner were delighted with the place, so natural and virtually unspoiled, in fact they feel like that about most of TRNC.

Horse shoe bay and all along that coast is simply beautiful... Loads of little bays to stop off and have a BBQ, we generally go along this coast road every time we are over, ......

No DC, this is a quiet beach with Great Snorkling and even Fish to see whilst doing so>.. you can promote the beaches here (TRNC), but exaggerating the pros and ignoring the cons is not a good idea...

Msg.5, you were there then, wasn't it wonderful. I was in Sitges as well at much the same time. Not a building over 2 storey. Policemen having a wonderful time walking up and down the beaches just to make sure that women weren't wearing bikinis!!

DC, your love of the TRNC has no bounds, of that there is no question. But please tell it like it is, ie, many happy people and the same amount tired of the corruption etc.; ,.As for Beauty Spots , I sometimes wonder where you have been...

@ msg 14, martinD41: (...) But please tell it like it is, ie, many happy people and the same amount tired of the corruption etc.; (...) ▶ I certainly belong to the 'many happy people' in TRNC and like to write/photograph for them. I am not to blame for the alleged 'corruption' - and maybe the 'tired of corruption' people appreciate some positive writings here also. I kindly suggest you try to do that now and then also. You may feel less bitter. (...) As for Beauty Spots , I sometimes wonder where you have been... (...) ▶ I always mention where I've been and either you're not interested to read/see my items or you have a different view on beauty spots. Are you going out enough..?!

Oh dear ,are you sure it's not you stuck in a rut, I have travelled extensively , everywhere but the far east,I am fortunate to have come from a previously NAZI occupied Island , Which is my Paradise, I am only here due to the previously ludicrous Bank Interest rates, which allowed me to finance my" African Well" project, now completed. Unfortunately my Wife has accrued several stray animals ,so we are struggling to find a way around the problem without causing distress to the cats/dogs .France is looking good, I have a house there which I have almost finished, My wife has Guernsey ancestry and my ancestry is Normandy French so looking forward to our new life in a place close to MY paradise.Bonne nuit
