Hi I have read so many poor reports of removal companies that I would like to give a positive report for once for Valentines removals. After getting three quotes I went for Jo Valentines. I have had nothing but good and helpful advice from them. Having my Gear collected By Stuart in the U.K. to being delivered on time absolutely correct and with no damage by Brian in Cyprus I found that they could not have been more helpful they were a pleasure to deal with and I cannot do more then recommend their services. Many thanks from Mick and Carol

I agree, we got quotes from 4 other shippers and Jo was so personable and helpful with advice from the outset we chose to use them. UK guys packed all goods professionaly and at other end completed unpacking in Cyprus all on time and as agreed. No complaints and quality service which is not heard too often on this forum.

had a 20ft container delivered in may by jo valentine. absolutley no problems whatsoever,& first class service thoughout. i filled my container at her yard in doncaster over a period of a month or so,when full,i was there to watch it bein loaded,i put the seal & padlock on the container myself,& waved goodbye to it.i flew to cyprus & was constantly updated by jo as to where my container was,she was only ever a phone call away.within a few weeks the container arrived at my house unopened with all my worldly goods intact.there were even 4 lads unloading it for me,all part of the service. i know she has taken a bit of flack on here, mainly thru customers that have "shared" containers.take my advice!!,get a full container, shes the best & cheapest! & it gets delivered to your door untouched & unopened.shared containers get opened & split up on the dock at famagusta.items get broken or go "missing", & thats not jo's fault. shes a lovely lady,on the ball,& i will definatley use her again

Well, we had a share shipping last year and all went according to plan. The custom bit was a doddle with their agent guiding the four customers through it all. They picked up 10 boxes from deepest Wiltshire and then also delivered all the way to Dipkarpaz!!! All included in the price.

Clients we have heard from seem to be happy with Jo but then we even have some happy with us - I am sure that every company has some complaints it is how they have dealt with them that counts.

We paid £3,800 all included except for insurances and all we did was supply refreshments each end. This was slightly dearer than others but personal service and advice is invaluable. We are firm believers that there is a fair price to pay for everything and if you pay too low service will invariably suffer.

We also had great service from Jo at Valentines. Box arrived more or less when she said and no problems.

Does she supply the boxes, and if not, do they have to be a certain size? Am asking for a friend.

I used my own boxes and bubble wrap. Jo was most insistent that every part of non boxed items was wrapped protectivly even down to the corners of table legs. I got most of my boxes from supermarkets and went on e-bay to get cheap bubble wrap. Hope that helps good luck with your move Mick

Yes, why not change your mind and allow Olaytrans to lose your goods, AS THEY DID MINE?

Unfortunately I cannot share everyones praise for Jo we had an appalling experience with her, it went wrong from the word go we were badly adised re size of container in spite of me questioning this right up to the last minute the loading got in a mess because the container patently wasnt big enough. Then the shipping lists were a muddle, what was left behind because there was no room went on a second shipping. The container that turned up wasnt the one we saw sealed and the seal was broken very quickly so we didnt see what was happening.Goods were lost and damaged and the money we paid in insurance I dont think was ever handed over to an insurer as we were unable ever to get contact details out of Jo and countless emails phone calls, a visit from the shipper, photographs of damaged items etc all went absolutely nowhere so sorry Jo cant join in the praise at all.

I agree with Bertie, our experience of Jo Valentine was much the same story. We finally got the insurance claim forms but they are so complicated and they want receipts for things you have had years. In the end we didn't bother claiming, even though several boxes were dropped by porters at Famagusta port and this was witnessed by people who work for Jo Valentine.

We used an UK company & Olaytrans and I have to say that Olaytrans took all the stress out of it for us would highly recommend them. However the UK company left our mattresses somewhere and we had to wait a further 6 weeks for them to arrive. Our friends used Olaytrans both Uk and here and had a good service too. Lizzie
