My metal water tank is leaking and I need to replace it. Been looking on here there's lots of talk about plastic tanks. Are they suitable to replace metal type that sit in frame connected to solar panel on flat roof If so where can I get a good deal. I'm guessing ( without measuring ) its about a 750L tank Thanks

Try also Paralik, they are also a good company. Our solar panels were from them and they are over 20 years old. They are situated on the Lefkosa to Farmagusta road on the industrial estate, just after the traffic lights (sports stadium) next entrance to the industial estate. Sorry don't have the phone number.

rejela, I think they are connected to Paralik yapi in Karakum so it might be an idea to pop in there first maybe save a trip to Lefkosa

if you change the tank from metal to plastic you will need the frame adapted to support the shape of the new tank..this will cost you a lot more money. also take into consideraation .the amount of scale build up will be at least three times more than on a metal tank. it dosnt stick it plates and falls into the tank so you will need to think abbout cleaning it at least once a year. retired plumber 05338384636 call me . il take a look and give you free advice. x

Hi John Msg 8 & Ricky Msg 6 - There is a product that could help with the scale build up see the EcoPure range it is the Eco-9 http://www. http://soft-clean-water.ecopurefilters.com/Eco9.aspx It is not a conventional softener & leaves the water usable having to a large extent purified it even leaving the salts that form lime scale (which are beneficial to us humans) in the water. Regarding scale these units are similar in performance to the electronic Wrappa technology but as you can see from the documentation also improves your water etc. The similarity is that the salts are not removed but are kept in suspension for longer. About 18/36 hours for magnetic or electronic units. However for about 5 days in the case of the technology used in the Eco-9. This means that the units work but the suspension efficiency is impaired if the stored water is still for more than that time. By the way if you are using RO (reverse osmosis) have a look at the Eco-10 Remineraliser
