Never stayed there but have visited a few times for the day with kids. Just had a lot of money spend on it. New sun beds, pool cleaned and tidied etc. Didnt go inside. Beach is nice but not the best in North Cyprus. It is clean and looked after and I dont know a hotel with a nicer beach on that side but in my opinion the best beaches are over on the east side. Famagusta beach, Bafra beach and the Karpaz. There is a new road to the east side which takes about 45 mins from Acapulco to Bafra. When leaving Acapulco, turn left. Follow the road to the end then turn left. Then just follow the road. It brings you out right opposite Bafra beach. Turn right for Famagusta or left for all the Karpaz beaches.

Do they still search your bags when you go in to make sure you're not taking in any food or drink?

The beach is certainly the best in the Kyrenia region - big, clean, sandy and nice facilities. -Never had our bag searched and do take a cool bag with food and drinks.

Never stayed at Salamis Beach but Palm Beach in Famagusta was nearly finished this summer and is on a lovely beach with wild turtles swimming there daily. Dont know when it will be finished but cant be long now. Bafra has 2 hotels. Artimis and Noahs Ark. Both new and very clean with high standards but they are themed hotels and its a matter of personal taste as to weather they are for you or not. Artimis is on a lovely beach with some water sports at one end. The sun beds both around the pool and on the beach are well spread out. Acapulcos sun beds round the pool are cramped but spread out on the beach. It will depend if you are wanting to have a holiday just staying in your hotel or to visit some places around.

Sand "We had our bags searched last year but not this year" i hope you are joking, it is impossible that a worker of a simply hotel make this also because there is not reasons because i can buy what i want outside hotel in acapulco and in which other hotel in the world!

No not joking. Last year we had to leave our water and drinks in the car as we were only allowed to drink water bought inside Acapulco. Dont forget we were not staying there, just visiting for the day so we had to park our car at the top car park and walk down. Thus making it easier for them to see what we were bringing in. If you are staying there you usually use a different car park so you will not be getting your bags out near the guards so not so easy to check. This year we put bottles of frozen water inside our towels and took them down but they did not search our bags at all.
