| Checking out places that would possibly lease out to me, in Famagusta, I called my Turkish friend, Adams, who said "this place hasn't been occupied in years. The owner doesn't rent to blacks … I tried before." I asked him to phone the owner, asking when last he had a tenant, "two years" he responded, I then asked how much it now costs to rent, after much deliberating over the phone, some "evet, evet, yok, yok, tamol", he eventually said "8,000 TL but he's refusing to rent to blacks, even though I told him you were lonesome and quiet". I told him I'd pay the landowner "18,000 TL" p/a -- as you might have guessed, he again refused. Is this racism in its crudest forms or just backlash for bad behavior black people have created? I suppose I can understand the thieving, thugging generalization. Much like a Turk should understand my generalization as-per regarding Seyhan Soylu or military black-ops such as sledgehammer to generalize their brutal and vile nature. Vastly superior race. |
