| Seem that i have lost my log book for my car.
Where can get a new one, cost ?

| Mine went in the wash earlier this year. I took the bits to the car reg. place in Lefkosa and got a duplicate. I think it cost about 50tl. Take some snap cos you have quite a wait.

Last year we were burgled and our car Kochan stolen, which probably equates to the same as lost. Anyhow, we were required to obtain a police report stating what had happened and then took this along with our insurance mot and ommission papers/ passports, make copies of all these papers as they will want to keep them. You should then be issued with a new kochan, you will also need some stamps, amount may vary but we paid 17 TL, available from the lady outside. Your biggest job will be the police report, it will take 7 days, make sure they write down the car reg number and make and model, I know this sounds daft but unless you tell them exactly what you need on the report you may end up with a second report being required, and at a cost of 40TL can get expense. Good Luck, it is straight forward, but is a long drawn out affair. |

I took all my bits to Girne police station. I'd dried and sorted everything out and celotaped them.
The police okayed everything except the kocan. I was told to go to Lefkosa.

| No you have to go to Lefkosia, happened to us last year. It took about 15minutes, but we can't remember the cost! |
