We are selling our car on one of the topics said you need a Notaire, so any recommendations please ?

I think you need your Muhtar to certify that he knows you to be the owner and therefore able to sell the car... first I've heard that a Notary need be involved.

You can use a Notery to witness that the people signing the car transfer form are actually those involved,all dealers use Noterys

I sold a car via a notar, you have to have the person who is buying your car with his or hers passport.

The notar has the forms which he signs and gives to the buyer, the buyer has 10 days to produce this form with the car docs at the car tax office in Lefcosia for change of ownership cost aprox TL 280.



Sorry I forgot when the notar has completed the form the buyer has to hand over the cash in his presence to the seller.



Doing it this way saves a lot of messing around getting muktars letter and photo copies of all of most of your docs.



The notar I use is opposite the law courts near the post office, he is next to the coffee shop on the corner in a very small office, sorry don't know the cost.
