Its a vibrating machine that works your muscles very hard so 15 mins on it is like 30 mins in gym.

The place I go is on road to new harbour

Not sure of cost for just power plate as paying for laser treatment aswell

I called into the Power plate centre at the beg of the year, she only had one machine, and wanted me to book a course, the machine was by the front window as you walked in the door so in full view except for a little blind, but I never went back as she could'nt fit in any times which suited me, plus it was very expensive so I joined a gym.

I hope to as well if you can it's worth keeping up with the powerplate as it keeps you toned

Also

I normally have to have a massage every week or so to get rid of the tension in my shoulders



I haven't had to have 1 massage since doing powerplate

and if my back is playing up Jannet will put me on a massage setting and it soon sorts it out

The powerplate is £90 for 15 sessions which works out £12 per week doing 2 sessions per week



I did one lot with the lasor for £250.00 I have finished the lasor and have 5 powerplate sessions left



I don't know how much the new offer is I can tell you after I have been tomorrow though

The SOS fundraising committee was set up 1 year ago by Teresa (TRNCBB) to help raise money for the children in the SOS (International organisation) orphanage in Lefkosia. We also raise funds for their project which is the families who live in poverty in the TRNC.



All monies raised goes directly to the children and we have control over that.



Our fundraising event is on the 5th December at the Sempati Hotel Lapta at 7.30



Singer, guitarist, demonstration by Kibris line dancers and disco.

Auction (chance to bid for the powerplate/laser session), bottle raffle, mince pies. One lucky ticket holder will win a lovely xmas hamper full of goodies.



We ask for a 10ytl donation for an entry ticket. Please come along and bring your friends to support us and have a good night out.



Tickets from The Grove, Soho Lounge, Guido's Bridal and ballgowns. Tickets on the door.



We also support other charities by buying bedding etc for the project families.

The laser breaks down your fat cells so fat disperses and you get rid of it

(apparently like liposuction without op)

Not sure of all technical terms I think if you google it you should get more detail or just phone Jeannette

It's working for me I can get into jeans that were too tight- thats only after 1 week- I am being careful with what I'm eating too.

This is a quick and expensive fix. Sorry, but the only real way to loose inches and stay toned is with a healthy diet and exercise. If anyone cares to go into the science behind power plate they will see there are no long term test results and there are many contraindications.



It has to be used to the letter and taught correctly, if you have back problems or are prone to headaches you may have problems.



The marketing is sensational, and the success of the brand phenomenal, don't believe the hype. Because of the demand for these machines, they are now made in China, and the quality is not as good as when this was first launched (one of the directors of the company has left because of this issue), this is a worry in itself if you go into how the machine works.



Even when they have this in gyms it is never used as a singular fitness aid, it is always in conjunction with other fitness activities. Beware the hype!!

I've lost from waist (the most) tummy and hips

after just 1 week my jeans are looser(even after wash)

As I say I am also being good with what I eat not just relying on PP and laser

but am sure laser has made the difference the quickest.

Yes, that would be nice. Tell me, and anyone else that is wondering, the power plate, I have googled it, it looks perculiar. Do you actually get warn out as with normal exercising, did you ache after.....I'm very curious! Jeanette tells me you just do 15 minutes on here, the laser treatment is longer. I am going on Friday at 11! Wish me luck!

You don't get warn out as such but the next day you feel like you've done a long work out. - well your muscles do. It is taking me a while to get used to all the different exercises but each one only last 30seconds to start with. The first time does feel wierd as the plate vibrates ( working your muscles harder than you think)but now got used to it. E-mail me on Harry's e-mail if you want to know more

How about actual weight, if you are losing inches, where is it going from, is the scale going down?

I know that you are not losing 4 inches of your waist, its added up half inch here and half inch here.

But are you actually losing weight?

Just stop eating salt and watch the inches come right off. (water wieght)

Healthy diet and exercise the only way to go, no instant gratification if you don't get off your sofa youre not going to lose anything except your waistline.



As for the laser are you sure its not endermology look at this its like a giant vacuum:

The main inc loss was mainly from the lasor, the PP tones you up and you loose upto 300 callerie in one session

I hear what Jacktheladett say and I've heard this before, also this machine hasn't been out too long to have long term results

Yes I agree to a certain point that if you have a headache you SHOULDN'T use it as it will make your headache worse, but it has accutally benifetted my bad back,

I think with any programme, as long as you keep it up it will work. Same stuff about diets, people say you'll put more on after certain diets, but with any diet you have to maintain it after the weight has gone. I'm an atkins fan, now thats really opening up a can of worms!

As to weight lose yes it is working too along with sensible eating

Like everything you have to put a bit of effort in to and hopefully it will be worth it especially when summer comes

Susie, sorry I missed you, was a little late as the vehicle I was due to come in had a puncture!



Good news, 3 and a quarter inches. Amazing, just one session on the laser. Measurements taken from three different areas on the belly. Didnt get to go on the plate because I was late and had other business in Girne. Back again on Tuesday! Very relaxing and Janette is lovely. Recommend it to anyone. My external sales lady will be going, although her husband has told us both that he will take two hundred and wire our mouths up for a better result. Charming!

I had googled all of this before I started, (last Friday) and I think its best to do the power plate business also, as it helps break down the fat cells after laser. Either that or some aerobic exercise. I went on the power plate today for the first time and its quite easy, although a little weird! Lost more again today, and I must admit, I have not been dieting!

Mrs W here. I started a course with Jeanette 12th January, which I have just completed. I have dropped a dress size so am more than happy, but I would advise anyone to combine the laser and power plate. I shall be booking another course in the next week or so (money!) because I really am feeling the benefit and as Susie says my back is a lot better.
