Terrible decision typical Ronaldo, making a meal of it. Yes it was a foul but a yellow would have been right, Manure always get them decisions

Arrry,

As Capdevila's leg was aimed at Ronaldo's knee with studs up it seems fairly clear that a straight red was correct... in the view of the ref.

Gud to see that Rooney has learnt from the Ronaldo school of DIVING, must be catching !!!

What a shame two obviously skilled players have to resort to cheating to try and con the referee....

Ronaldo ,Rooney take a look at past George Best footage ,you couldnt bring him down with a sledgehammer....these two primadonnas aint fit to wipe his boots !!!!!!!

And refs get the blame for getting it wrong ....Wish my missus went down as easy and often as ROLANDO !!!!!!!

PS. My man Reo Coker showed how to play him out of the game on Saturday ,hit him early , hard but fair ,made him look ordinary, he never got a look in,subbed late on and spit his dummy out as he left the pitch, still Fergie would soon change his nappy and kiss him better.A mans game, yeah right, love to see the greasy Lee Evans lookalike up against Stuart Pearce at his prime, one thing for sure he wouldnt need to dive !!!!!

PPS. Got loads of time for his talent ,but not the package it comes in !!!!

Unfortunateley diving in football is now seen as acceptable in some quarters which is a real shame as it is cheating and is not in the spirit of the game.Anyone found to be diving should be sent off. This is the only way that you will remove this practice from the game.I agree that players like Ronaldo and Rooney are cheating the sport but they arecertainly not the only ones,

Paul.

what about the dirty little Ukranian last night against Arsenal. He rolled over and over clutching his leg as if itv were broke. Then cos nobody took any notice, he got up and sprinted away. The cameras caught him lovely. They re the ones they should do.

Agreed it is widespread but being in the Midlands we are subjected to watching Man Utd week in week out so i just used that team as an observation, given that a certain player from that team spends more time hugging the turf than the groundstaffs lawnmowers. It was good to hear Rooney was big enough to apologise for his actions ,anymore from that most prolific of culprits ,i dont think so !!

No1 Doven, admitted George Best antics off the pitch were less than exemplary, but did the business on it without resorting to cheating.

Watching a lot of spanish football gets you used to all the antics you see on the pitch, but it is accepted over there, why ???

We all play under the same rules but " gamesmanship " is accepted ovethere. Even the refeeres are tuned into it ,they know it goes on but they don't punish the players.

How do they get away with it ? Our referees are carpeted for every mistake they make . But the Spanish F A are probably having their siesta when it all happens

Football is becoming to stop start nowadays due to all the prima donnas. Its time to bring in sin bins and stopping the clock when there is a break in play like the do in rugby league. And the way that the players speak to the refs is disgusting. In my opinion though George Best was one of the all time greats, and i had the pleasure to see him play and meet him.

The only way to sort this game out is deduct points.

Points mean prizes but my wife has more balls than the FA.

I some times think these players have forgotten which game they are playing, its called SOCCER not RUGBY. the amount of diving they do would qualify some of them for the Olympics Diving team.Love to seea load of fans suddenly hold up cards with score on it for how good the dive was..Could use the cricket idea of the Third referee, cameras very rarely lie and a few red cards for the divers would certainly make them think about doing it again...

Paul my sentiments entirely, sin bin, video refs. extra 10 metres for talking back to the ref . Imagine Man u. they would have to play in there opponents half ! all through the match if the latter rule was implemented . ( just by one player ) BIG Mouth Rooney The Looney! Then again he is a Scouser .LOL
