Anyone want to play crib - Catalkoy

We have had a few people who have said they would enjoy "crib" evenings. We are thinking of getting together to play crib (once a week or once a fortnight) at a local Catalkoy bar - if you are interested in joining us for crib please let us know so we can arrange days, to take enough cards/boards etc.

My husband and I play and would love to get together to play with other people though I personally have no experience in playing in a foursome!



Plus we have a couple of boards if that will help.

Great - thanks Nicky (or Stuart !) and Sue. We will need a few more people to join in - mind you even if there only a few of us we can just play usual singles. We were thinking of a Thursday at The Lodge - how does that sound for you ?

In answer to your question, yes Thursdays is ok for us however we cannot make tonight due to being otherwise occupied but willing to start next Thursday (10th) if you have enough people.

I shall set it up for the Lodge next Thursday (10th) 7.30 for an 8.00pm start. Can I just ask if you have a crib board to bring it with you (and pack of cards) until we get an idea of numbers. I expect there will only be a few of us to start with but it may become more popular once word gets around.

See you next week unless you hear otherwise !

If anyone else wants to come along and play crib you will be most welcome.

Would love to take part in any cribbage games and it would be absolutely great to find that something like that is taking place this side of the Island instead of always Lapta side. Please let us know when and where it will be taking place.

Crib will begin at The Lodge Catalkoy next Thursday 10th November - if we meet at 7.30ish to sort out the boards and cards - crib games should start about 8.00pm.

Everyone is welcome to come along and join in - it is hoped more people will take part as it becomes more well known. Great way to meet new people and to have something different to do in the long winter months. Above all we want everyone to enjoy it.

Is there no way you can get to The Lodge next Thursday (10th) - it is just off the main Girne - Catalkoy road ? Maybe there is someone else in Girne who wants to come along and play crib and you could both share a car - that is what we do when we go to Esenteppe for whist.
