Could anyone please tell me, ıs there a singles club ın northern cyprus?? I am single gentleman and im lookıng for a singles club or meeting place to meet single people. Does such a place excısted here in Northern Cyprus??

Yes you are in luck there is a club run by dutch crusader/hans who is often on this forum, you are best of contacting him direct on the e mail on his profile. The club meet in alsancak at the santoria bar or something like that. Its great fun they also have chess boards and other games to break the ice with new people.

Yep, the Dutch Crusader organises a single club.



It's been a single club for years because no one will join him. Please go, he's getting very lonely. I bet he'll give you a big hug.

I know a website where you can advertise your dogging hot spot, there is no where in north cyprus, and the best thing is you don't need bricks and mortar, just a piece of waste land, i could easily set this up. When you do dogging its at night and you have to do flash signals with your interior lights, for instance 5 repeated flashes mean

anything goes anyone can jump in my car right now.

I bet half of the 44 members who live in north cyprus would join in, the question is will they put there names forward, unlikely but i bet there cars will be pulled up in the dark carpark on a friday night.

I have never hear of a singles club. The problem is that most Cypriots stick to their traditional means of meeting and mating and the expats are usually older couples . Result is it can be a lonely place for single people, particularly as they get older and for newcomers.



I would be nice to have a club where single people could get together to socialise - not necessarily for close relationships of any kind, - and have groups to visit places in company. Sadly judging by this Board they would probably be hijacked by jokers and drinkers.



Best advice for your friend would be to join a club not necessarily Board games there are increasing opportunities for various outdoor hobbies) and hope to meet someone there.



In England the advice would be to get a dog and meet other dogs walkers. Sadly here there is nowhere to take the dog

Why don't you set one up as I am sure there must be plenty of single people over here, you could arrange to meet once a week or month at a certain bar?



Advertise on here or get an article in one of the papers?



If it goes well, organise some nights out meals, films, bowling, snooker, surfing, pub quizes etc for fun - you will soon make some friends

Opening a members club, for members & Joe the public ofcourse to join and meet, once-twice a month for a grand slap up, UK open buffet OR a set 3 course dinner deal with dancing and entertament, shows, dancers, singers, feather & lega etc, plus a drink on the house would be good & lets say... 30tl pp..



Should i do it?? Or should i not??

Well, pehaps I am too old, but I dont want a lot of razmataz. What might interest me would be chance to get to know people over a quiet meal or drink and perhaps to form small parties to go to other dos where a singleton might feel left out among all the couples and family groups, and also to explore more of the country in company of two or three other congenial souls

Why don't you arrange a meeting place for a drink one night and see how much interest you get and then see what other single people are looking for then make plans for nights or days out.



Many years ago I was in a similar situation where all my work colleagues were alot older than me and married (I was only 17yrs), we had just moved into a new area so I joined 18-30's (yes, I lied about my age!) and made many friends and had good nights or days out.



I can't come as my husband would object!

Ozzie, we have an English Cypriot friend who retired here. He was in the same situ as you. We put an add in the new paper for him, cy today and Kibris,then told him afterwards.

Same sort of thing as a lonely heart ad in the UK.

He was unindated with offers his phone did not stop ringing.



Six months later he was happily married to his new wife and has relocated to Turkey.

So give it a try, you will be gobsmacked at the replies!!

Seen him last week, three years on and he is still as happy, life is treating him well.

İ am a restaurnt manger yes and do get to meet pleasant people all the time. But, Its not me that has a lonely heart.



I must admit i am shocked to hear thet there is no place here in Nrth Cyp, were singles can meet and enjoy themselves having fun..... Together.



İ mıght be mad, but i feel i would like to do something regarding this.

Helping, making singles have smt to look forward to at times... No matter what age.



İ also belive its good to have some fun at times. Whatever floats your boat.. ie Days Out, Dınıng Out, Dancing, Sıghtseeing dates and tours for Singles having fun Together no matter what age.

Find it strange that so far no one has mentioned that a few years ago there was a 'singles get together ' dining group called Candlelight set up but sadly didn't seem to last too long. maybe because they were arranging to use fairly expensive restaurants.

Maybe a decent bar in a fairly central location might pick up on the idea of a singles night and see what happens!

In the Uk I belonged to a superb group called Nexus, could go to any area meeting, had great social events, parties, bar-b-qs, outings etc. I was very lucky and met my late husband through them.

It's not always easy or fun to be on your own.

sometimes new company and friends make life a bit more interesting.
