I am just about to order a Kindle, the new version without the keyboard, and just wanted to make sure that I can actually download books via 3G (from my laptop) from North Cyprus?

Thanks

The first time I downloaded from Amazon directly on to my Kindle I was amazed how quick it appeared on the Kindle and how easy it was. So you'll have no problems.

easier than falling off a log!! I download free books from isohunt with the help of a bit of special software to convert the file format. I am sure you must know a computer buff to help you with that, if not you can email me and I will send you what you need. pamschofield47@yahoo.co.uk

Download : Calibre

its free from the internet and converts any ebooks to kindle format.

There is also lots of disks you can buy cheaply on ebay and load onto your kindle

I agree with Isohunt.....for books , music , films what ever you want .! Also Calibre is a great little programme for converting to your Kindle book format .Using those two , you may never have to pay for a download again !!

If you buy the 3G version you do not even need a laptop as it uses the local 3G telephone network at no cost to you

Hi Twinkletoes, I have a wireless Kindle and I'm thinking of upgrading to the new one. When you get it, is there anychance of you posting a review? I love my kindle and agree with all the other posters, why buy when you can get every book free

I purchased a 3rd Generation Kindle which has 3G, only because Groucho kept telling me how useful it would be!

He was right. We went on holiday for a month in Europe and during that time I was able to do my banking and access my emails via google so saved us dragging a laptop around or constantly having to find an internet cafe (which I would not use for banking purposes).
