I am trying to find good quality oil containers that hold around 5ltrs, a bit like the containers from uk that are the catering size for buying bulk ketchup and mayo. These of course have a rubber seal in the lid so don't leak.

I wish to transport my oil to uk, and the yellow containers you see around are not robust enough. Any ideas please. Thank you

Be careful how you carry it ..

Gave 3 x 0.5 litre bottles to my Australian friend .. Only had a backpack, took them off him at Larnaca ..

Don't carry as hand luggage, you could lose it ..

I don't think the Customs in UK will let you through with it ...

I always take my oil back to the uk, but all my containers are at the other end!.I fly BA from the south, and its not a restricted item for carrying in the hold. Not a problem importing it into uk if from another EU country so its OK. However there is always a risk of Greeks taking it away from you at the border, but so far so good. I dont take it all in one go, just in case I get stopped. Anyone else had oil taken away from them at the border?

I always use the local 1 liter soft drink bottles (tonic ,soda ) they are very strong and go in the suitcase. Never had any problems.

Mine is in a yellow container and it's a lot tougher than anything else I have seen, and it has a leakproof rubber seal. How are you transporting it?
