Yes, we have had 4 meals there and everytime excellent. It is owned and run from their beautiful home and gardens by mother and daughter Fatma and Latife. Fatma is the cook and if you enjoy traditional Cypriot home made dishes at very reasonable prices you should try them. Every friday they have a Kleftiko night that has to be ordered in advance, whilst every day she does special house dishes , which are divine.

Places like this should be encouraged as they are few and far between,

Thank you david9. Will try this week. Totally agree with your comments. VERY few and far between in my opinion. Would love to know about any other similar, Cypriot-traditional, as opposed to Cypriot-tourist places to eat. İ live in the TQ, so this could become a regular of mine. Shame that the İ-Belli has received such negative comments. Had hoped it would have been another of my regulars! Hopefully, mistakes will be learnt from in their case.

Lovely place 5 of us booked we were asked what we would like and we said cypriot food surprise us.They certainly did it was beutiful in the garden we sat under a jasmine tree surrounded by flowers and had a wonderful 4 course meal the main course being a great lamb and prune stew we had 4 bottles of wine and a few g & t,s total cost 257 ytl could not fault it been baqck twice more but keep it a secret do not tell anyone.

Must say one of the best meals ever had in North Cyprus and the family treat you as one of there own. Just discovered Ikimiz and most certainly will be back to sample their lovely food.

I see they are closed on Sunday but open on a Monday.

Just to let everyone know Friday night is Kleftiko night at Ikimiz and having sampled their mouth watering Kleftiko can only recommend it to all you will not be disappointed.



If considering going you need to book for Friday-See you there!

Yes they do Vegetarian and chicken, not so sure about fish. If you phone in advance they will ask normally if you have any preference food wise.

It is a very nice restaurant within the Old Turkish Quarter, and situated right next door to a lovely old greek church..The street is Meseli Sokak...If you do lose your bearing looking for it, just look over the buildings and you should be able to see the tall bell tower of the church.......The telephone number of Ikimiz restaurant is...Mobile....0533 880 6272...........or...Landline.....0392 815 1589.........

A fantastic place with good Turkish Cypriot food. You will not be disappointed. This restaurant is a real gem. Directions are on their website.

Friday was Kleftico night and I have to say it was the best I have tasted on the Island.



Right from the start it was a warm friendly atmosphere and we were told exactly how long we would have to wait for the food to come out of the clay oven.



So nibbles and drinks till the main food came.



Well worth the wait. True family atmosphere and invited to join everyone in the bar area , again a warm welcome and impromptu guitar playing from one of the diners.



More drinks and complimentary shots.



The bill for the 4 of us TL 170.00



Best value for money in a long time.

Another excellent restaurant to try for traditional cypriot food and hospitality is the Hanimeller in Lapta near to the Celeb Hotel on the water front, run by a lovely family it has been open since May and we have eaten there many times gorgeous traditional food and home baked bread to die for!!!!!! I also agree with mssg 2 we need to support the local tradional food of this Island, it is a pity that you have to look hard to find a place that serve's local cypriot food????

Glad we tried this one as it has the bonus of being near us. Not the usual long trek home.



Yes it is good to be able to support True Cypriot restaurants.
