Don't you just love the press ? “Never before were the two sides so close" "Significant differences nevertheless remain between the two sides."

When both sides have agreed an acceptable plan, and its put to a referendum, I wonder what stance the Greek church will take this time, as they really are the deciding factor in all this.

With the Eurozone and Greece situations, not to mention other struggling EU countries, the TRNC will not benefit from reunting with the south and therefore being part of that whole EU farce!

As stated in the press adeal will be done in january. The problem points will all be sorted out in one way, that being that the TRNC will become part of Turkey. Hence the troops already here and now turkish police from the mainland. A deal was struck by way of Erdogan allowing the placing of the american missile shield in southern turkey, hence also the recent amnesty for the thousands of illegals here.

I think the tables have turned and the Greeks need the trnc more than we need them. Why on earth would turkey want the euro . Greeks if they opt out of the euro give other countries the hump and make way for embargoes to be lifted

deluded drivel Its people like you a small minority against the rest of the world. It is not turks against greeks, cyprus is cypriots and should be, the ROC economy is not the greek economy, and the trnc is not a turkish state in the eyes of most cypriots and every other country. greece turkey cyprus, are three different counties. Now to say that the roc needs the trnc is stupid, the truth is cyprus is one small island and it would benefit all cypriots if it was united, this way all cypriots will have better prospects and the island will go strength to strenghth, it will create growth and jobs, and the turkish cypriot will have its voice back. Under the eu all cypriots will slowly but surely be able to live side by side with the correct rules and regulations. I will say it again cyprus is not greece or turkey, and the reality is sooner or later it will be resolved. The world will back all cypriots from both sides no one else is relevent, and if it does not suit the others tough.

Lots of countries are part of the EU without using the euro as currency. Some are doing pretty well and others not so well. The TRNC already benefits from monies sent by the EU. The TRNC as part of Turkey? Interesting that one, who wants to be a minority group under Turkish rule? How many Kurds have been killed during Erdogans time in power? The Cypriots will never want to be in that position. Cyprus for Cypriots is how it should be.
