You got to be joking! we had a bad problem the first year with our place, with damp in stairwell, when we investigated further on the roof, found a load of roof tiles all neatly stacked when they should have been laid, also the holes in roof where the aerial wires came through were just big holes totally open to rain, windows in same area had been fitted and secured by wedges of stone not cemented in or sealed, unfortunately none of this could been seen from ground level, so much for final inspection before sale, unfortunately as bought this off the initial purchaser, although we were the first occupiers we were unable to claim warranty, so remember buyer beware, and if you haveing this built and you are nearby check them all the time at every stage.

sylvie - I held back answering you at first, as I haven't bought from them and in case buyers were happy.

However, check out a couple of their sites in Alsancak. One at the end of the bypass, the other near to Green Coast holiday village and see how many workers you can spot. That should give you a clue.

REPLY TO WHAT ? i am asking about sevilla but i know myself what to think about them and i just wanted to confirm my opinion - my TC friends had their houses started 6 years ago and still not completed i am not surprise at all and of course i wouldn't have trust people trying to cheat their own people and stealing the money of others my builder wasin a very bad position when we first started but he finishes our house he can walk proudly in the street while others are not even ashamed !

Sylvie, why ask when you formed your own opinion!! Its clear that you dont know all the facts and see this from one side only. Go and do your research with an open mind and find out all the facts about the buyers defaulting on stage payments etc', before you damn anyone- you may look silly.......



I know that there are satisfied customers of Sevilla who had to wait longer than agreed for completion, but that was Sevillas only "crime" but then again they did meet the agreed payment terfms on their contracts!

Like I said to Sylvie, go and research ALL the sites and the units thereon. Not just the one site you refer to where some of the tennants have failed to meet stage payments...........

paddypony you are clever I dont know'that is why i asked. I know people on the Tatlisu Golf and Catalkoy site who have paid money up front in good faith. Money that was not due until completion as per the contract.As yet no one has completed. If you know different then enlighten us as it is pointless joining the conversation as we are trying to gather all the information.

Went to golf site , about 6 people moved into villas .

Only one left forsale

Apartments again some people moved in

5 apartments and 3 penthouses left .

Nearly all apartments almost complete.

Spoke to sinan and he said " there is more than enough money in the site to finish it .

It's going slowly as people are realeasing money to finish stages , this does take time some people are not

Paying , so their villa is not worked on

May next year is completion all going well

Madturk I am sorry but everyone will focus where there interests lay.You are obviously only interested in the Golf site because that is where you are buying.My sister has paid all of her money at Tatlisu and is still waiting completion from 2006 so that is where my interest will stay until Sevilla has fullfilled their obligations on that site

SEVILLA are not honest people i know exactly what they have done to people they do not respect their contract but anyway there will be going to the court but unfortunatly if they are bankrup they will not be able to complete their contract 6 years myfriends are waiting for completion of the whole lot of houses on their own land and they dare to ask the deeds of the land before completion so they can cheat them - they think people are stupid!

Are you suggesting that renters are supposed to be making stage payments, and from where im sitting sorry you are way down the list of 'good' builders and I have no axe to grind only my eyes and ears and a lot of local knowlege

Just to set this straight:



Nothing to do with rentals, contractual purchase stage payments remain unpaid after occupation of property



BTW I'm not the builder, but like you I have the benefit of some knowledge

Message18 Is correct. The owner of the land was to be paid for the land by building him six houses no stage payments involved these houses have not been completed so when is the landowner expected to sign over.

All owners will suffer because of Sevillas attitude they are solely responsible for the situation not stage payers.

Although some people have paid in full the final stage as per contract is not payable until completion so anyone withholding this payment can not be classed as a none payer. If Sevilla had used stage payments to further the sites instead of using the money elsewhere there would not be a problem.

mess 18 : looking at the bigger picture ,what would taking sevilla to court to make them bankrupt really do.

he walks away from all his responsibilites and then free to set up another company debt free, or let him plod on slowly trying to finish off his sites.

maybe he should borrow loads of money from the banks to finnish off all the sites and when he fails to meet the repayments the banks can forclose all his sites. then you will all end up with nothing .

We are on the Golf Villa Site, and staying here at the moment, Just to say, we have had some issues, mostly the time scale, as we actually signed the contract in 2007, however apart from that we are thrilled to bits with our villa, and the standard of work. When we decided to buy here, we looked at several sites and we felt that Sevillas properties were extremely good value, and their finished product was good, and we still stand by this.

Villas on the site next to the Malpas are very poorly finished and the bathroom door cannot be fully opened as the fittings are in the way you have to go in sideways.
