Saturday 19th Nov. The Baron's Theatre, Lambousa, seating from 19.00, 'don't be late 'cos 'Anne' won't wait'



There will be 2 rounds with local personalities including Julia Price, Brenda Plant, Neil Anthony, Jacki Smith, James Swanson to name a few. There is also a few places let in the 3rd round for YOU or nominate a 'friend' if you dare! So come and support them all and enjoy an evening entertainment while supporting a local charity (The Society for the Protection of Turtles)

so sorry that my 'secretary' omitted some very important details and names. sorry girls, you are nOT off the hook and to inform all that two wonderful girls from Tulips, Carole and Sue are on the panel, as is the much loved Chris Offord, then there is Sirin (ex Star, but sparkling on BRT), Kerem a much loved local reporter who is terrified of me; Brenda Plant of 112, cos mike won't do it!; Jacqueline Jones of 112 willk be suporting Brenda, or the other way around; Ron Brown of NCCCT who has not got a clue what he is letting himself in for!; Mervin of SPOT who comes in just about the same category as ron - and yes, even more........ but what we need is YOU. come on volunteers, sponsored by friends (or will they be 'former friends'). After all if 'Anne;' doesn't know you, there are not many cryptic comments she could make - or are there.

come on- volunteer, and I repeat N OONE who has volunteered to date is off the hook! Blessings on all of you, from the Turtles.

'S.P.o.T.' is very grateful to all our Contestants, we couldn't do it without you, or of course 'Anne'.

Please make sure contestants you are ready for her, but all in good fun for charity.



We don't have 'banking' in our version but have some great prizes to be won instead.

We are planning 3 rounds with 6 contestants in each with a Head to Head Final for the winners.

If you have read Cyprus Today (Sat) you will all know that a very kind lady has sponsored Neil Anthony to appear in drag for our event, this he will be doing, with her donation going to SPoT.



We thank them both for supporting 'The Society for the Protection of Turtles' for turtles protection in North Cyprus.

Now all I need to do is write my script..... and does anyone know where I can go to get some gold medals inscreibed> I have bene told Deniz plaza, but SURELY there is somewhere else. talk about being The Weakest link. The real Anne has a research team, a producer, director, a stuidio, proper equipment and a million pounds a year. I have 'nothing; Oh yes, I have Tricia, but it is not quite the same. So bring your sense of humour, and make sure you have a ticket.

Thanks Gordon. Just to say that tickets are selling fast (and that is NOT sales jargon - it is true.). Anne would love to see the place packed to the gills (or should I say 'flippers') to encourage Tricia the organiser who is fretting at getting everything right, and to show that the environment matters, as that is the serious side of it all.

And it HAS to be worth 20TL to see Neil Anthony in drag, plus other contestants who just may try to compete.

From what I have heard today you may need snorkels and flippers on the 19th as the rehearsals for the pantomine had to be cancelled due to waterlogged theatre!!

YesUI heard that too. No flippers required as alternative plans are in hand if needs be. But I heard gordon and crew are working hard on the matter. ~the Weakest Link will go on, and I am sure the panto will as well. Personally I don't fancy wearing a snorkel and trying tto cope with a microphone, and my flippers do not fit. So, have faith in all the wonderful people at Lamboussa.

Yes, Gordon, thanks to you and a load of other caring people, it seems to be all systems 'go' Hope to see a lot of you there. don't be put off if the night is dark and cold, we will warm you up. And remember that laughter is the best medicine. And we can all do with that.

Just to say been to the Theatre today to set up for The Weakest Link. Gordon has had Dave in with his magic carpet machine.....oh yes he has.....and what a good they've done, everythings great.



As they say the show will go on, so no worries 'Dolly' you won't get your tights wet!



We have a few tickets left which will be on sale at the 'indoor' market in the morning or on the door (if any left, but will be standing room)

We will be on stage - it is the audience that might need the web feet. But rejoice. all is well this morning. So, god is good! And so is Gordon Kent and all the folk who put the theatre back together again! And it is a sell out! So perhaps some of you would prefer to have yourn back to the audience?????????????
