Foreign Minister Hüseyin Özgürgün has strongly reacted to statements by the President of the Greek Cypriot House of Representatives Yannakis Omiru regarding the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Özgürgün said the Greek Cypriot administration has not understood the realities on the island and the UN parameters to achieve a comprehensive solution to the Cyprus problem. He said the TRNC is the greatest guarantee of the legal rights and interests of the Cyprus Turkish people on the island..........

Foreign Minister Hüseyin Özgürgün has issued a written statement in response to the President of the Greek Cypriot House of Representatives Yannakis Omirus latest statements regarding the TRNC. Stressing that Mr. Omiru in his statements was distorting the historical and legal realities of the Cyprus problem, Özgürgün said Omiru tried to present the Greek Cypriot side as the victims in Cyprus although they were responsible for the beginning and continuation of the Cyprus problem.

Ok it is a peace of mind for everyone, but then we should not be complaining about having to pay higher prices for things in the north and should not be saying this on one hand but crossing over to the Greekside to do our weekly shopping on the other hand or using Larnaca because we can get better deals on out flight shome to the UK. All or nothing.
