My neighbour had to go back to England and returned this morning, just after Kib Tek had cut him off!

His last bill was dated 12th October, and his bank should have paid it as he has a direct debit with them. İ assume that they did not. İn order to dis-connect him they sawed through the padlock on his metal security box, left it on the ground and two of his fuses inside the box. Does anyone else think that this a bit extreme, bearing in mind the huge amounts owed by councils, hotels etc?

its not nice when that happens to someone especially if payments are being made

this happened to me last year and they took the fuse with them, and was very stressful especially if it took 3 weeks to sort out the mess

the best option is to leave ample funds with kib tek so if for some reason payments d/d are not made you dont find out the hard way hope things get sorted

I agree with Msg. 2. Quite a number of friends who come and go, leave money with Kibtek and the system seems to work perfectly (at least it has done for 3 years now) not making any promises though!!

To be on the safe side, get internet banking and pay it yourself on line, you can then also check t make sure it has gone through ok..

I don't know about kibtec on-line, but you do it through your bank, in the bill paying section.

Many thanks for your replies. Can anyone explain how he can sort this mess out before he has to go back to UK for another few weeks? Where to go to? What is required? How much might it cost to sort out?

He is staying in an hotel tonight as he had no joy today.

Thanks in advance

it should be simple i hope they have left the fuses to simply pop back into the mains But he must not do it

go to their office in town pay for re connection and they will come and re connect the power

keep those fuses safe very expensive to replace and they do take walks

and at the same time add for funds so there is credit for at least 3 months 600 lira should be fine

some one on here may be able to explain better the directions to their office ,they will charge for re connection sort of penalty then say the person in question is not well and they will come very quick

give or take summer use and winter use when occupied

i dont remember exactly how much i paid for the reconnection around £100 i think

and they may ask for a deposit best if he goes there and get the exact cost to connect

if the premises are empty at least there are funds when he returns and not be short changed again
