Dongle for laptop will it work

If I purchase a dongle when we are over in January, will my lap top be able to work with one, or will it be a waste of time and money. Thankyou

Queeny, as long as your laptop has a USB port, I can see no reason why a Dongle (properly topped up) shouldn't work.



It will be fine for surfing, Emails etc, but will be of little use for large downloads or watching TV as these use too much bandwidth.

Yes it will, no problem.

Most of them are plug and play.

I purchased a sim free dongle in UK

and have been using this in TRNC (with local sim card).

The last time we were out I bought a GEZZ dongle from the phone booth at the Karakum Lemar.



I took my laptop and the young man sorted out the soft ware and showed me what to do.



It's easy and the reception is very good even with video Skype.



From memory the dongle was about 90TL and a months subscription to use the net was about 60tl.



Money really well spent

I have one and am very pleased with it. Nothing stickin on the roof to get damaged ina storm and so portable. BUT I dont do a lot of downloading or watch TV. The one occasion I did download a lot, it cut out when it ran out of credit and cost a lot to "top up"
