Seems very badly marketed whatever it is, no flyers, info anywhere around Kaplica. Locals have no idea of it? What is it all about and why at this time of year? Swimming? Crazy, two boats sank in harbour today.

Hi everyone,

This is the first triathlon organised by the Triathlon Federation at this scale. We have collaborated with some organisations and contacted triathlon teams in Turkey.

We have tried to announce as much as we can with limited budget. As mentioned on the website (www.ncytriathlonfed.org), this is the first middle distance triathlon organised in Cyprus. Please follow our website for upcoming events and annual calendar if you are interested.

We are planning to organise the Kaplica Triathlon annually from now on. So We would greatly appreciate your help on marketing.

The race is today (20.11.2011) and will be finishing in the evening with the medal ceremony.

This is our facebook group. You can also follow the news from there. It is usually in Turkish but you can ask whatever you like in English. You will definitely get an answer.

Thanks,

Kutay

Visited earlier today to spectate - entrants (38) were on cycling phase with run to follow. Met Ahmet (boss of Federation), who has excellent English and is, naturally, a real enthusiast. Good luck to them.
