I am looking for a neat wooden building for the garden around 3.5m X 2.5m. I am looking for something that will be pleasing to the eye rather than a standard creosoted shiplap shed. If any one can assist, please call me on 05428853224 or e-mail sue@jacwm.co.uk

Thanks

Sue

Does anyone know of anybody that imports these sort of buildings?

Grant I'm sure somebody will be able to build you one but do make sure you are not in breach of any planning/building regulations by constructing one...

I know it sounds daft given the propensity for building incongruous edifices hither and thither here but Sod's Law says your building will be the one to draw the attention of officialdom...

If you are planning on an all wood building do make sure it is raised up off the ground in such a way that rising water will not make it rot away. Wood suffers badly here from the extreme heat so be aware that you are planning something which will demand regular treatments of wood preservatives to keep it looking good.

Cheers Gavin, I guess I was thinking that if it was a summer house it would be classed as a shed & a portable building. I am amazed that nobody seems to do them here. I know timber is expensive but assumed someone would be importing them. I don't think I have ever seen one in the eight years I have been here.

As far as teatment is concerned I would have thought a tanalised timber building should hold up to the heat without too much of an issue.

The stupid thing is, I have a half empty container, half way here from the UK. I didn't think to bring one over.

Slightly annoying.
