I'm absolutely horrified that someone of your generation and intelligence (given other posts by you that I've read) can think that there is even the slighest justification for Hitlers opinions or either the holocaust or jew-baiting.

I have issues with Israel as well, their treatment of the Palestinians in particular, but that kind of catch-all paranoid rant is just the type of thing that inflames and deepens both racial and national hatred.

For all their issues (and there are many) I have NO doubt that the vast majority or Israelis want to be able to live in peace and have no interest at all in 'world domination'.

Shame on you.

There are two problems which have not gone away. People originally protested because of the rising cost of living. This issue has not gone away,in fact, the cost of living has gone up. Gul the Turkish Premier is in London. I just saw an interview with him on BBC world news. He says that Turkey is prepared for the worst in Syria. When pressed he would not commit to what this means.

He said that Turkey has no hidden plan to be the head of the Ottoman empire again.

The programme went on to show that many Arabs now see Turkey as their kin as Turkish cultural tv programmes are flooding Arabia. The arabs can relate to it.

Turkey claims to be the bridge between Asia and Europe. It holds European values, but as the programme pointed out, Turkey has more journalists imprisoned than both Iran and China. A diisident said Turkey is getting more autocrat

Wyn..I see the Egyptian government has resigned en-bloc.I think they are tissed off with army refusing to let go of power.

They were supposed to have free elections next week but that seems to have gone up in smoke.This is why they are all out on the streets again,get promised everything and end up with nothing,bit like UK.....
