| As I understand it the law on wills is different in TRNC compared to the UK. As such I've been recommended to have a new will written up to cover our interests there. Can anyone recommend where I may be able to get an "off the shelf" will, similar to those available in the UK, rather than pay someone £120 to write one for me? |

| Maybe for peace of mind, using a lawyer or a notary could be best. ou are quite right that things are different here. /for instance if you have a house in joint names, when one partneer dies, you have to pay tax on their half. Ownership laws are different. Same goes for joint bank accounts, so do make sure that you have the wording correctly. But maybe Hans can help and following the link that message 3 has given. Personally although it is a rip off, we felt it better to pay a lawyer. trouble is that it is difficult to have an ordinary person as Executor, and the lawyers charge £1000 even if there is only 2p in the estate! |
