This is horrific.

Once caught, how about putting them in a ring with a couple of crocodiles. All in the name of sport, of course

I heard about the recent incident where the dog was tied to a car and was dragged along to its death.

While I agree that the people who do this are absolute scum, I fail to see how it affects the TRNC - unless you-re suggesting the gangs in Blackburn are about to come here en masse.

What he may be thinking about is that dog and cock fighting takes place here and this might a step further for the scum in the TRNC.! I used to consider that the UK was a civilised place to say you were born and brought up in, but now I'm having second thoughts, as are many other people.

Tango1..what part of England do you consider civilised as regards animal cruelty?... It's not new ,it's always been there ...take a look back in history.... http://www.game-bred.com/history-animal-fighting.htm#Bull-baiting.

A visit to Blackburn today is like going on "A DAY TRIP TO DELHI" ..

Below is an extract from Blackburns' local paper The Lancashire Evening Telegraph

The wife of a Blackburn councillor has undergone a life-saving kidney transplant after a donor was found following a six-year wait.

Coun Salim Mulla’s wife Sayeeda had been waiting for a donor since suffering kidney failure in both kidneys in 2005.

Coun Mulla, who is also the secretary of the Lancashire Council of Mosques .

The couple, of Ripon Street, Blackburn, have five children, as well as a large number of extended family members in the area.

A small nothern town completely run by Asians .. Even the famous "Blackburn Rovers" are being destroyed by them ..

Ethnic minority .. Not in Blackburn ..

This sort of extreme animal cruelty is happening all over the UK not just Blackburn.

Visitor...I think it goes back a lot longer than that... it must be a relic of our Anglo-Saxon (Germanic) ancestry, mixed with Viking blood lust...

As a pet lover I feel this is sickening in this day and time.

I guess they get some kick out of posting such distressing things on the internet too.Lets hope all animal loves help to put a stop to them.

Martin I would`nt admit to anyting `Germanic `you will have the daily mail readers on to you!

But seriously I was in Brighton recently and witnessed an elderly chaps small dog being attacked by another

largerdog. By the time we dragged it off the little dog was dead and the idiot owner ran off. The old man was

devastated as I would be. I was apalled by what I witnessed. Many od my friends in the UK keep pets indoors.

Spider its by condemning these actions collectively that we stop them, not by being blinkered.

I signed the petition against animal poisening in Cyprus and bird baiting. Ignoring it does not make it go away.

I was talking about these monsters posting the disgusting acts they get up to on youtube etc !

They need a thrashing in the street hung up for a week.

Well if it wasn't for youtube we would be unaware of the vileness of such acts. Many postings are by people who want these thugs caught. And several have been because of youtube and CCTV.

We are on the same side - I agree with you.

As a true countryman (see profile) follow my principle, if you do not need to eat it, do not kill it.

Message 3 - There are many postings that have little to do with the TRNC ie UK football, the EU, Obama etc

Peoples lives are interconnected with places and events, our histories, where we have lived, family connections, friends interests, campaigns, values and so on,

Message 21

You mentioned Blackburn 'like a day trip to Delhi' ....I said 'there aren't many mosques in Delhi'

The churches have closed down because there aren't as many Christians using them as there were...obvious!
