Hi

Has anyone ever sent large packages back to the UK using the postal office? I have about 8 boxes and a suitcase that needs to go back to the UK and was wondering if anyone has used the postal service rather than shippers to do this. Weighing up all options.

Many thanks

Not sure if it will help but if you are going home we contacted the airline when we came over with 8 cases 1 box. They were happy to let us fly it did cost about £300 ? but it was better than shipping everything over !

Good luck.

You might want to try a shipper like Jo Valentine she does offer a part service when possible.

One thought is that whoever is sending taking the consignment will need to know that it does not infringe any rules and laws (about things you can import or carry over borders). Second thought postal might be prohibitive but whichever way you must make sure that there is insurance.

If you decide to send a parcel via the post, you will need to leave it unsealed until you have shown the post office whats in it. Otherwise they will have to reopen it.

msg 7 Is this new.

As I have sent several parcels this year alone and have never left them unsealed, they usually ask what is in the parcel and roughly what it is worth, and as yet all parcels have arrived at their destination intact.
