Use speedtest.net, and ascertain what speed you are actually getting.

I have found out ( Thanks to my next door neighbour ) that if you go onto the BBC website then click on the programme you want to watch live, it is more likely to play than through the BBC iPlayer ( dont ask me why ) Another option is to go onto BBC iPlayer then look down at the bottom left corner and there is a button for Low Bandwidth, press this, you will have a lower class of picture but less buffering if any. Hope this helps. Steve. I am on 4 MB but with Nethouse, and its usually OK except between 18.00hrs to 21.00hrs I assume more people using the internet. Try Speedtest.net to test your speed.

Sorry I have not replied to your messages but I am a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to computers. I eventually managed to find the speedtest site and I think you could be right because the best reading that I have achieved is 2.57Mbps. Do I now go back to Multimax with these readings ?

Speak to Multimax and tell them the maximum speed you are getting is 2.57Mbps. I'm sure they'll do everything they can to ensure you get the speed you pay for, unlike some other ISPs in this country.
