On our way to discover the exact location of Kantara Monastery (more to follow) we passed intriguing Kantara Castle on a very different road. Well, road..? More a rocky path, through the forest, fighting thye capabilities of my friend Neil's Freelander 4x4... We made it and on this glorious day had this splendid view of Kantara Castle. I hope you enjoy the picture:

Kantara Castle - more than 800 years old, enlarged by the Frankish Crusaders under their English, French speaking King Richard I, Plantagenęt, the Lionheart, so harsh, grim and still guarding the Karpaz peninsula...

Very nice pic in Msg 1. I often wonder what some of these castles would look like if one was able to have a 360° helicopter view. An interesting perspective that is quite different from the view from the castle itself.
