Doe's anyone know where I can buy a 'Gas Kettle that Whistles', or if not a whistling one, then just a gas kettle, will do.

I have seen them 'On the Dark Side' - But am looking for it here in the North.

I have found plenty of 'Double stacked' ones - but that is NOT what I want.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Check the whistle works by blowing through it... some don't and if it takes a real blast to get it working reject it... otherwise it will boil dry before in makes a peep! You might get a few odd looks from the shop's staff but it's the only way!

If you are still hunting a kettle and have to travel afar, try the general store which is near Green's Garage on the Coastal road through Alsancak. I believe it is called "Hom Essentials" or similar and they normally have a good selection at reasonable prices. In heeding Groucho's advice, take your intake of breath, away from the Whistle, to avoid doing a "Roger Whittaker" in the shop, as the whistle detaches from the casing for cleaning purposes !
