One man's story of having been raped. I once did a research project on this subject and this happened to a young lad of 16yr in my small home town, not too many years ago. I found it interesting reading.

Message 2,

Would it not be better just to ignore it rather than go into a Bi-Polar rant

A very odd post, which does this forum no good; either the original post or the comments,

I agree with message 2 - most especially the "attributes"... part - and have said so on this forum for years. This woman clearly has a personality disorder and it worries me considerably that ANYONE, ANYWHERE would confide in her, or turn to her, in times of emotional need, after having read her profile.

I was the one that pointed out she had spelled therapist wrongly - now corrected! She could do the most terrible harm mentally to a person experiencing a tsunami of emotions following all types of life changing experiences...I wish she could be stopped and prevented from advising anyone with mental or emotional health problems, instead of being given the constant oxygen of publicising her spurious claims on this forum or any other...

Simbas, I'm sorry but I disagree with you. There was nothing about Stubbs1's comments to which the thread originator couldn't respond.

In my opinion you are unnecessarily censoring many posts under the blanket reason of "rule 3" simply because you don't like them.

And thereby stifling interesting debate...

Good morning Rottolover , we will have to differ then because i do not feel i am stifling interesting debate , the topic is still there for everyone to debate , i only removed post 2 , that was clearly against rule 3 which ever way you look at it . Calling a person names , is acceptable is it ? . I have read and read the topic and i found nothing that warrants the comments made by post 2 , i can only assume by the contents of the post removed , that it was personal , and directed at the originator of the topic rather than the topic .

Post 2 was clearly below the threshold of site's limited standards and as such rightly removed.

Msg 11 , Ralph , there were reasons for that thread being closed , reasons that you don't know or should know about it .

Ralph,

It was a personal thread which are discouraged (in the rules) and it was addressed, so she closed it. Bit of a judgement call - maybe maybe not - but do we want mile-long threads wishing good things to individuals?

Don't make a mountain out of a mole-hill.

Overview

Society is becoming increasingly aware of male rape. However, experts believe that current male rape statistics vastly under-represent the actual number of males age 12 and over who are raped each year. Rape crisis counselors estimate that while only one in 50 raped women report the crime to the police, the rates of under-reporting among men are even higher (Brochman, 1991). Until the mid-1980s, most literature discussed this violent crime in the context of women only. The lack of tracking of sexual crimes against men and the lack of research about the effects of male rape are indicative of the attitude held by society at large -- that while male rape occurs, it is not an acceptable topic for discussion.

Mods please close this thread.

MsG Your harassment towards me is getting a little too much now. Please try not to be so personal in your posting trying to damage my reputation.I live here and you hide behind you false profile.

There are many things that can be done to combat cyberbullying. The most important thing a victim of cyberbullying can do is not respond to the bully. Do not play in to the bully's games. Do not answer emails, do not respond to posts, do not engage in a chat room exchange, and do not copy what the bully is doing.

I do hope the moderators have taken note of your constant personal attacks toward me and may do something to stop this. Please remember rule 3.People who know me '''Know''....And love, its not working.

Please close this thread now thanks.

@ Giles: Priceless and effective posts! You should do it more often though. For instance with "jokes".

The link to the cut and paste for Message 16!!!!! I make NO apology for highlighting, yet again, the lack of original thought, or educated informed knowledge of the poster - one only has to read the grammar to always know when it is cut and paste and when it isn't.

I am NOT bullying this person; as AN ACCREDITED TRAUMA COUNSELLOR MYSELF, I am genuinely concerned that a traumatised individual could be seriously damaged by turning to someone who even Stevie Wonder could see, is not who she says she is, on a Professional level.

I also note the usual modus operandi of said poster - as soon as called out on something, immediately stamps her foot, plays the victim, then asks for the thread to be closed. Same old, same old...

I also find the thread title, unconscionable, indefensible, theatrical, and in the context of the thread, nonsensical...
