| Sadly this venture turned out to be a white elephant. Lots of publicity and looked like it was going to be a really nice shopping area but lack of uptake from shopkeepers and as usual a lack of tourists meant it became just another empty shell.
Did it ever have more than 3 units occupied? Now looks like a ghost town. I believe pictures have been posted on U tube. |

| I live 10 mints walk from Big Old Bazaar in Bogaz. It was supposed to be open in October 2010 until now - no news. Only 2 shops are opened there and some office? Shops are with DIY and paints stuff. Nothing else....
I knew it will finish like that. Bad localization, who on earth will come there? Everything is in Famagusta, so everybody is buying there. Not much people are living in the area, and those I know are going to Famagusta or Iskele village for buying things.
Big Odl Bazaar would be great if it was close to city (Famagusta, Lefkosia or Girne). Its located in the middle of nowhere and thats what it killed it. |
